Re: SABnzbd Network Issues in KVM
For virtual Windows is certainly true, because par2 requires a drive letter and not a UNC path. For other platforms it's simply advisable. Other than that, I do most of my testing on virtual machines running under VMWare Fusion. This was actually occurring with a CentOS 6.4 guest, using QED filesys...

Re: SABnzbd Network Issues in KVM
As it is with most things, you figure something out right after you ask the question. If anyone else runs into this problem, make sure your temporary download folder is inside the guest OS, not mounted from the host through NFS or SMB. That was my issue.

SABnzbd Network Issues in KVM
Hi all, Anyone else running SABnzbd in a virtual machine under KVM? I'm having an odd issue where everything works great, but network performance leaves a bit to be desired. For instance, running on the host, I can max out speeds constantly at 5MB/s. However, in the guest, with the same settings, th...

Odd behavior for Purge NZBs. Recover?
Uhg, just deleted all my completed NZBs because the purge button is a bit unclear. I did a search for a specific term, then hit the "X" next to the search box thinking that would purge any completed NZBs that matched my search and were currently displayed on screen. Nope, purged them all. ...

Re: [Android] SABDroidEx
For those interested I have uploaded on sourceforge a beta version containing the functionalities I am working on : plug into Sickbeard and display the shows informations. If you have any suggestions let me know. Hi, Are you still working on integrating an NZBS.org search? Or a direct indexer like ...

Re: RSS feeds with old content reposted
The problem is not in determining seasons and episodes, SABnzbd already does that for SeasonSort. So far the RSS module does not use titles, seasons, episodes for remembering RSS content. It may do so in a future release. Other than that, we're not trying to compete with a extensive front-end like ...

Re: RSS feeds with old content reposted
So, bringing this post back from the dead to see if it can be re-addressed. Below is a BASH script that parses filenames and has been thoroughly tested for detecting season and episode numbers. Could this code be ported into sabnzbd, and included as an optional filter for RSS via a checkbox? It woul...

Re: For Streaming: Direct Download to Folder or Delayed Post-Processing
That would be it. Though by that definition, it seems like things would get left in the temporary directory forever. Delayed PP would probably function better. If I can free up some time on my mobile projects, perhaps I will jump in and help tackle that Blueprint.

For Streaming: Direct Download to Folder or Delayed Post-Processing
The one problem I have with sabnzbd is if I start a download, I can also begin streaming directly out of the RAR file with a program like mplayer. Unfortunately, as soon as sabnzbd is done downloading, regardless of if it is set to process or not, it moves the files out of the Temporary Download Fo...

Re: Integrated search with NZBs.org using GET via RSS
Sounds good, in the meantime, I've created a PHP script that anyone can use on their site to allow direct downloads to the watch folder with category. You can: Upload an nzb (or torrent) to a Watch Folder Get a URL to a Watch Folder (with category selection) Search nzbs.org, click download (which p...

Integrated search with NZBs.org using GET via RSS
So, there's a really old thread about NZBs.org in here, but since it was over 120 days the board suggested I make a new post, and this topic is a little different anyway. How about an integrated search feature for NZBs.org? This would be fantastic since it's a free site, and seemingly easy given th...
