Running Sabnzbd in Sandboxie?
Hi, When Sabnzbd downloads and extracts files from the internet, how dangerous are included viruses and other malware? Is any program contained in the rar file executed when extracted? I ask this as I have had some troubles using Sabnzbd during the last few weeks. And now I'm considering to start Sa...

Re: pdm.dns query?
First of all, let me state I rely appreciate what SABNZBD does. And I might sound paranoid, but with computer safety, am I paranoid enough? The reason I post this is the warning Kaspersky seems obliged to give. From the forum of another program I use in conjunction with SABNZBD (FTD) I got the respo...

pdm.dns query?
Hi,
At the moment I'm trying out Kaspersky Anit-Virus. When I start up SABNZBD+ it complains about SABNZBD+ starting up a PDM.DBS query. Might I ask what this is, and where SABNZBD+ uses it for?

Re: Only 'X' connections allowed
Hello, It has been some time since I got this answer from Switch (thanks by the way): Check how many connections are set up for your server under config>servers. If you do indeed have 6 set, then I would try the following in order: 1) Increase the timeout value from 120 to 300 for your server (confi...

Re: Undeletable downloads (and other issues)
Thanks for your reply. In the end I deleted the complete directory with download files. After that I could delete the download from the SABnzbd list. On your suggestion to add it to my shortcut launcher, would that be a "C:\Program Files\SABnzbd\SABnzbd.exe --clean" as target of the link ...

Re: No downloads using 0.4.11 on XP
I even press 'Pause' before I press 'Shutdown'. It might have been caused by a hickup at the usenet provider. Thanks anyway.shypike wrote: The last five or six 0.4.x releases are data compatible.
Do you always terminate SABnzbd nicely *(i.e. using the shutdown menu item)?

Re: No downloads using 0.4.11 on XP
Does it happen for every NZB file? Have you tried to remove all entries from the queue? As a last resort, start up the SABnzbd.exe program with the --clean parameter. This will remove the queue and the download history. Starting with --clean seems to have helped. My SABnzbd+ is happily chugging awa...

No downloads using 0.4.11 on XP
Hi, I do not know what causes me not being able to download anything. I think I installed 0.4.11 last weekend, and since then I was not lucky with what I downloaded. Might that be caused by SABnzbd+? I have a list of DVD's ready to be downloaded. As soon as a DVD gets top position it's Remain/Total ...

Re: Download takes ages
I do appreciate you help, but the problem popped up again today. I started a download, and the unrarring is still busy. The download ended at 15:59. The logfile states it completed decoding at 16:24:53,890. The _UNPACK_ directory is created at 18:09, and at 19:46 SABnzbd+ is still chugging along. I ...

Hi, After a complete reinstall of my operating system I noticed SABnzbd does not shutdown automatically when it has finished downloading and unpacking what I want it to download. Re: Download takes ages
Is the job on the edge of the retention period of your provider? No. It was one day old. And as far as I could see, everything was available. Do you use multiple servers? Some providers take a very long time before admitting that they do not have an article. No. Only one. But it used 3 groups. It i...

Download takes ages
Hi, At the moment I'm downloading a DVD, which takes ages. To be specific, the last DVD finished at 14:45:42. Now it is 19:30. So this DVD(5) took about 5 hours to download about 25%. Might this be a DVD that got corrupted on purpose? :o Like they do with torrents? >:( Macamba Edit - Some data: Ver...

Re: Oeps! Did it again, reconfigured SABnzbd, while downloading
I suspect that the cache got corrupted. SNIP You should be able to start using the command line parameter --clean You will use active downloads and the history. I got it working again, by reverting to the old directories. But if I understand what you are saying I need to execute the following steps...
