I finally had a good chat on irc with a user affected by this issue yesterday. For now, I'm inclined to believe this bug is somewhere in debhelper/dh_link and triggered when upgrading sab between certain ppa releases. After a clean install of sab and sick, I forgot the 777 and specify a folder for downloads, and I accidentally downloaded a few files before realising. Hey all My Sabnzbd wont auto download anymore after the failure of nzbmatrix, and iv been manually downloading ever since.. Occasionally a show will auto download but thats like once a month etc.. my mate who helped me install sabnzbd on my readynas drive, reckons I need to upgrade to latest version...
