Everything seems back to normal now. The Sierra update changed my Energy Saver settings so it was just a matter of switching them back.
I hope this thread helps someone else

Re: MacOS Sierra: SABnzbd download queue sleeps or delays?
Thanks safihre.
Yes, it does seem that Sierra changed my Energy Saver settings, and that's the likely cause for these issues. I'll give it a few days and post back.
Cheers

MacOS Sierra: SABnzbd download queue sleeps or delays?
Hi all. I recently upgraded to MacOS Sierra on my Mac Mini server, and SAB 1.1.0's behaviour has suddenly become a bit odd -- specifically, downloads become somehow "delayed" or put to sleep. I can't quite figure it out, but I'm guessing the error lies with Sierra, and not SAB. Early this ...

TV sorting: How to add year to show name?
Hi all. Some TV shows push to my SAB queue with the year in the file name. For those shows, I need SAB to include the year in parentheses in the show name when sorting/processing. I can't figure out the syntax for doing this, though. Here's the current syntax I'm using: %sn/Season %s/%dn.%ext I trie...

Re: Malformed articles left in download folder?
Just following up on this.
Is it possible to have SAB automagically delete these leftover pieces after a successful download? I'm assuming I can add the extension to SAB's cleanup list, but I don't actually know what type of extension these leftover files are.

Re: SABnzbd and Yosemite sleep issues
Agreed.
After some testing last night, I noticed that iTunes will keep playing after the machine goes asleep. Perhaps a temporary workaround will be to let iTunes keep playing while muted to prevent sleep when on battery power.

Re: SABnzbd and Yosemite sleep issues
Actually, now that I see those screenshots head to head, maybe I'll try enabling power nap on battery power.

SABnzbd and Yosemite sleep issues
Since upgrading to Yosemite, I'm having issues with my MacBook Pro going to sleep while downloading. This doesn't happen if my Mac is plugged in ... it only happens when I'm running on battery power. Has anyone else experienced this issue and solved it? I'm guessing it's a problem on the Mac side, n...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
I use UsenetServer, with backups from Tweaknews and Blocknews, and I have few problems.
I think what's more important these days is a fast connection and automation ... use Sickbeard or something else to grab your shows automatically (and quickly).

Malformed articles left in download folder?
Recently, more and more of my SAB downloads have "leftover" pieces in the folder after the file is successfully downloaded and repaired. For example, this is what the folder for a recent download looks like, with five leftover pieces: http://i58.tinypic.com/316so5u.png Am I safe to delete ...

Re: SABnzbd 0.7.16 reports wrong free space
HFS+, correct. The disk is 250GB total.
