Thanks, I know what it's doing now. The anti-virus is being a dick and not overwriting the old version because it's flagged as a 'low reputation' file, so it's still running the old .exe.
I'll need to temporarily turn it off, install SAB, then create an AV exception for it.

32-bit Windows v3.5.3 is v3.5.0
I'm running SAB in a 32-bit Windows VM so can't use the 64-bit installer.
The 32-bit Windows standalone that says it's v3.5.3 is actually v3.5.0 when you run it. Is 32-bit not being updated now?
The VM is Windows 8.1 running in VMWare ESXi, 3Gb RAM.

I have had this a couple of times, turned out I'd exceeded the maximum path length in Windows. The error looks like an out of disc space error, so SABNZBD pauses. The clue was that it only happened to me on very long file names. There's a setting in the Special page of Config called folder_max_lengt...
