Re: Unrar problem [Synology]

yes, but the patch you provided here: http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=16166 fixes this :)
so we just have to wait for this to become included in the next release, for the meantime i've opened a pull request with that patch over at SynoCommunity.

Thanks again

Re: unrar 5 and metadata password

like moneytoo said, the password is set inside the nzb headers password meta tag. so it /should/ unrar it anyway even if you don't append the password to the filename.

When i use unrar 3.8 BOTH nzbs get "unrared" and i end up with a single avi file.

unrar 5 and metadata password

Hi, me and moneytoo from synocomunnity looked a little deeper at the "unrar" problem that occure on some synology installations. It seems like SAB doesn't play verry nicely with unrar 5. Sometimes password protected rar files will get unrared, sometimes not. it seems like SAB Reads the pas...

Re: Unrar problem [Synology]

thats not 100% percent correcty. for me unrar 5 works like 50% of the time. but somehow it seems lile it can't hanle metadata password nzb files and some other stuff that 3.8. could without any problems. i think its more a SAB/unrar 5 compatibility bug than a synology specific thing. (the whole thin...

Re: Folder full of rar files [Synology]

try this:
http://forums.sabnzbd.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=15934

just rename the unrar in /usr/local/sabnzbd/bin to something else (or delete it) and restart SAB, it should then use the system unrar (/usr/syno/bin)

Unrar problem

Hi, Seems like there is a problem with some characters in password. I've got a password like this: UR-DriR2evAq2B2e4P35W7§ log: 2013-10-26 01:34:08,364::DEBUG::[nzbstuff:473] META-DATA = {u'password': [u'UR-DriR2evAq2B2e4P35W7\xa7']} 2013-10-26 01:34:01,778::DEBUG::[newsunpack:568] Running unrar ['/...

Re: Unrar problem [Synology]

i've opened a ticket for this: https://github.com/SynoCommunity/spksrc/issues/693 seems like unrar 5 is not working correctly. Since unrar 3.8 is installed by default in /usr/syno/bin you can just rename/delete the unrar binary in /usr/local/sabnzbd/bin/ and restart SAB, it should then use the binar...

i dont thins that something like that exists...
also... 2hrs HD movie with only 700mb? show me that :D

is think you should be able to make a script which checks for filesize and then sends it to handbrake if its bigger than x GB

Re: Script to convert MKV to MP4 for PS3 then pass to Sickbe

the easyest way may be Handbrake CLI http://handbrake.fr just define a preset as you like it and run it on your files

Re: Synology Disk Station Auto Index

yeah, sadly Synology doesnt index files from which are moved/added over terminal :( you got two options for that: 1. Use sickbeard which has an notify option for Synologys Media Server 2. build your own script building a own script should not be that difficult you just need the full path to the file...
