Re: Free Newsservers
Yes, finding the same thing here. The only server that seems to have a retention of more than a week is free.tweaknews.nl but as that only downloads at 1Mb then makes it really slow compared to the 130Mb I normally get. Not entirely sure I am not getting anything older than week from the Ipv6 serve...

Re: Free Newsservers
Changing my tunnel endpoint seems to have done the trick. I switched from a Fremont, CA based endpoint to one in Amsterdam and I was able to connect to both weathergirl and newszilla6 again. Unfortunately the files I was going after are all past the retention level of either server, but at least it ...

Re: Free Newsservers
can anyone confirm if newszilla6 and weathergirl still work? When I press "Test server" it says connection successful but they dont download anything... stopped working about a week ago on my side... I'm having a similar problem. Most times it doesn't work, except for two-to-three seconds...

False encryption detection in 0.7.13
In an unusual turnaround, Sabnzbd is now giving false positives for encryption detection in some downloads. I snagged two episodes of Warehouse 13 from an indexer and both came back as encrypted, but only after the files were all but downloaded. When I checked on the actual files in the incomplete f...

Re: Auto-sort download order to better detect encryption
It has nothing to do with the ordering of the files. There's an error in the way SABnzbd detects "cloaked" encryption. Changing the order makes a difference because that causes a secondary detection method to trigger. Interesting. Is there a hidden switch we can activate to force this sec...

Re: Auto-sort download order to better detect encryption
This is not a generic solution. It's simply not true that all encrypted downloads are only detectable by looking at the last segment. Do you have some example NZB files that show this behaviour? Please email to bugs@sabnzbd.org Empirically it is. If it doesn't detect encryption in the first split f...

Re: Could checking also check for a password rar inside a ra
Encryption can be detected in all RAR segment files, so order doesn't matter. Do you have an example that behaves different? This collection here does it: http://binsearch.info/?b=game.of.thrones.s03e05.proper.720p.hdtv.x264-killers&g=alt.binaries.boneless&p=Joseph+%3Cyo%40sep%3E&max=25...

Auto-sort download order to better detect encryption
One of the banes of every downloader's existence are encrypted archives. It used to be that with the rar format the indicators of encryption would always show up in the first segment of a split rar file, but there's apparently a newer method that puts that data in the last segment. What this usually...
