Hmmm... This looks like it may be exactly what I need... I have been using mediarover up until now, and it is wonderful, but this looks like it may handle things a little differently and in a way that integrates better with xbmc....
If I get some free time I may install this.

Re: Media Rover
That worked. Thanks!!! One thing to keep in mind: if you modified logging.conf and turned off output to screen, you won't see any logging data when you run MR in a terminal. Logging data will still be sent to the log file as usual (as long as you didn't turn that off too) Kierse I understand. I t...

Re: Media Rover
I had it working great on my file server, but ever since I migrated to this new HTPC box I built, it does this. Not sure where I messed up setting it up... Hmm, did you remember to pipe the output to /dev/null or similar (you could also modify logging.conf and turn off logging to the screen). I'm...

Re: Media Rover
Can anyone think of a reason MR works as it should when I run it manually from the command line, but when cron runs it I get this error? 2009-10-16 07:40 ERROR - [Errno 32] Broken pipe - __init__.py:106 Traceback (most recent call last): File "/home/xbmc/mediarover/mediarover/__init__.py"...

Re: Media Rover
How do I disable the download of HD episodes? I currently get double episodes, one SD and one HD? I am not sure you can with the RSS sources posted in your conf file a few pages back, though I am not familiar with all of those sites. You have to keep the HD ones out of the RSS feed, so if those s...

Re: Media Rover
Yay!!! Not really related to this thread, but I am migrating my sab and mediarover as we speak to my newly built HTPC, which has 3, 1.5 tb drives in raid 5 giving me ~3 tb of usable space. Will soon be adding the other 1.5tb drive I got to the array which will give me about 4.5tb usable space. (I ...

Re: Merge MediaRover into Sab
Ok, how's this: one of the features we've been kicking around for post-0.5 is a plugin system. Early in the 0.5 development cycle (well, maybe not early, but earlier) we had all kinds of experimental stuff being tacked on. Streaming, Streaming something while it was downloading, a full on media lib...

Re: Media Rover
Ok - after further examining the logs - I have found the first download of the show started at 4am - the second copy came at the running of media rover at 4:10 am.
I am going to PM the logs as I don't feel it appropriate to post publicly on this forum.

To everyone who has reported duplicate scheduled/downloaded episodes: I need more information! I've gone over the code and have been trying to replicate the problem in my test environment so far without success. So, the next time it happens to you, please send me as much information as you can. ...

Re: Merge MediaRover into Sab
Why build it in when it seems to be working perfectly fine as-is? I mean sure it works fine on it's own with sab, you are right. I just think that many people who run sab would appreciate the features that MR brings. I hate to sterotype, but I think I got a pretty good idea of what most of us use s...
