Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
What happens if you do use 0.5.0 and disable the QuickCheck feature? In that way par2 will do all verification (like in 0.4.12). so i was using winrar 3.71 also, upgraded to 3.90 and still get the unpacking crc errors. going to try disabling quickckeck and if i doesn't work, uninstall everything an...

Re: Too many files fails to unpack (missing blocks)
If you use Astraweb you can avoid problems by configuring server redundancy, such as adding the SSL or EU server as a backup to the non-SSL or US server. That's how i have it setup. does this "Fail on yEnc CRC Errors:" need to be checked or unchecked? i have it checked. my main and backup...

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
I might have jumped the gun there. In the first round all the other previously failed downloads succeeded with the new server newshosting, but right this moment I had a file fail on me. Not enough blocks to repair. And I'm checking out "connections" tab, and it seems like I'm connected to...

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
Just want to chime in and say I had very similar (if not the exact) same problem as OP, and I blamed it on astraweb. I went on to give newshosting.com a try (14 day trial) and the ones that fail work now. I don't even need to repair. thanks. i'll give newshosting a try, then see what happens when b...

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
any chance there is a file size glitch? i've gotten numerour dvdrips to complete, but anything over 2.27GB fails (2.27gb was the largest that passed, 2.62gb was the smallest to fail)
I think i'm going to uninstall SAb, then reinstall it. see if that helps.

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
The OSX release of 0.4.12 still uses unrar 3.80, which doesn't have a very good reputation. Please switch to 0.5.0Beta1 (which contains unrar 3.90) I'll try to grba something off alt.bins, but using .5 beta, i still got errors with two downloads, both weer 4-10GB files. A few dvdrips completed fin ...

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
Or use the supplied utilities. Open a command prompt (you need to adjust some names). cd /d "d:\completed job folder" "c:\program files (x86)\SABnzbd\win\par2\x64\par2.exe" r *.par2 "c:\program files (x86)\SABnzbd\win\par2\x64\unrar.exe" x first-rarfile.rar Ok, this wo...

Re: Just about every download fails with crc errors
Is this line relevant in Windows ? permissions = 0777 No, it's ignored. Someone on another forum said to change it to something other than what i had because it was disabled if i remember right. I was getting an OCTAL error message whenever i would start up SAB and changing stopped the error message.
