Re: Download speed affected by queue / file size
The "Temporary Download Folder" is on the machine itself, the "Completed Download Folder" is an SMB share. It's located on a QNAP NAS. My whole network is gbit with cat6 cables and router/switches.

Re: Download speed affected by queue / file size
I am not using an Article Cache Limit. What would be a good idea? The problem is my internet connection is maybe too fast for the computer SAB is running on. It downloads at 120mbit and at a sudden moment there are multiple 10+gb releases queued up for repair. This makes the cache folder enormous in...

Re: Download speed affected by queue / file size
Ok, the cache was clean but I think I found the problem. As soon as I've queued some blu-ray movies (many gbs each), the download speed becomes slower at the moment releases are waiting to be processed after downloading. I have a fast internet connection so the repairing / unpacking process does not...

Re: Download speed affected by queue / file size
I do not have a browser open when downloading, could this still be the problem?shypike wrote: There is some influence.
You should set the refresh rate of the UI to something above 8 seconds.

Download speed affected by queue / file size
I'm running SABnzbd+ 0.5.3 on Mac OS X 10.6
When I queue 100GB for example, my download speed goes down dramatically. What would be a good solution? I get the feeling that this does not happen with small queues / small files.

Yes. I have tested this on a MacBook Pro and that does not seem to have the problem. Maybe it's the NIC from the new Mac Mini 2010 or it's driver software.

Re: Sab 0.5 - 0.5.2rc1 causing OS X 10.6 Crahes!
Another update. I added someone's Giganews account with 50 connections. The Mac completely crashed within 2 minutes. This is a serious problem but I think it's the combination of a certain netwerk driver in OS X and SAB. Possibly only with 0.5?

Re: Sab 0.5 - 0.5.2rc1 causing OS X 10.6 Crahes!
Update from my side. I fully wiped my HDD again and reinstalled a fresh copy of Mac OS X. Installed SAB 0.5.3, added a few servers and had it download with a total of 30 connections. After not so long, the Mac completely crashed like before. So the problem is not related to iStat and/or other softwa...

Re: Sab 0.5 - 0.5.2rc1 causing OS X 10.6 Crahes!
Totally agree. I wanted to do this anyway so I've just completely wiped my HDD and installed a fresh copy of Mac OS X. Ran the software updates and only going to install SAB now in just a sec. I will queue some big files and see what happens with just 20 or 30 connections. By the way, something else...

Re: Sab 0.5 - 0.5.2rc1 causing OS X 10.6 Crahes!
Same problem here guys. I think I can reproduce it. At the moment my Mac crashes, I see this error in the console application viewing the logs; 6/29/10 12:15:38 PM kernel AppleBCM5701Ethernet: 0 a BCM5701Enet::replaceOrCopyPacket timedout Version: 0.5.3 OS: Mac OS X 10.6.4 Install-type...

Multiple servers - Backup?
I have configured 2 servers and they work fine at the same time. If one of the servers cannot find a post, does SAB automatically check if the other server does have it? Or does this only work with "Backup" enabled? The reason I did not enable "Backup" now is because with 2 serve...

Re: Newzbin replacement?
Firefox + nzbdStatus + NZBs(dot)ORG = a great combination!
Now only support for episode titles (tv shows) and categories and I'm all set. But it works great for now
