Last time I had a crash, sabnzbd started downloading half a years worth of stuff (probably the last time I restarted the server), so it's not like it happens regularely.

Ok, thanks. It might be possible to download pars and repair a single rar if it was corrupted, but it's a moot point anyway if the unrar doesn't support it.

Unpack after each part is downloaded?
Would it be possible to do the parity check and upacking for each single part, continously extracting the archive? With a plugin like nzbdStatus for FF it would probably be possible to automatically start a movie within a minute after hitting the download button.

After a system crash (power-out or whatever), already downloaded content will be re-downloaded. I am using newzbin feeds, so the problem is easily fixed if I set the retention time to only a couple of days, but then my saved searches are of less value to me for manual browsing.
