Re: ENGINE Error in 'start' listener

Indeed. Thanks for that useful tidbit of information, it has the potential to solve some of my future oversights ;D

Re: ENGINE Error in 'start' listener

Hi jcfp, Thanks for your reply. I was pretty sure that there wasn't a problem with duplicated processes or something else having already bound a socket with the port I wanted SABnzbd+ to use. Your comment did, however, prompt me to try and keep a closer eye on the process during start up and through...

ENGINE Error in 'start' listener

I've come across a resource hogging problem with sabnzbdplus 0.5.4-1 on a remote (internet) server running Debian squeeze. Here is some hopefully relevant console output: http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=eHhcAdqg One minute after start up, sabnzbdplus starts to hog a full CPU core repeatedly for period...

Re: How to stop SABNzbd + from automatically starting when an nzb is saved

It's a long time since I installed the Debian package but presumably part of the installation would be setting up an init script and runlevel links to start sabnzbdplus as a service on system boot. To disable this behaviour requires manipulation of symbolic links in the /etc/rc#.d/ directories. This...

Argh, sorry I took up your time Googling something I could have found.

Thanks for the pointers, though.

Zone.Identifier file remains in Watched Folder

Hi, I have noticed that every NZB saved to the watched folder leaves me with a new file ending with :Zone.Identifier e.g. for releasename.nzb the file releasename.nzb:Zone.Identifier is created and remains after download completion. The file size is 26 bytes and the contents appear to only consist o...

Re: Connections page & Missing parts

What you see are the unique article identifiers (as they are listed in the NZB file). They usually contain the name of the Usenet provider where they were originally uploaded. This is the interpretation I was looking for, thank you. I misunderstood the display and wondered if Supernews were in some...

Connections page & Missing parts

Just recently I've had a few broken downloads due to missing parts and insufficient pars available to effect repair. I am curious to understand the information presented in the connections page of the SABnzbd+ interface; an example is presented below: http://i54.tinypic.com/k99d8x.jpg Here you can s...

Re: What's your fastest D/L speed?

Is that a new connection, pair of dimes?

I just remember a thread discussing a scaling problem for the rate graph in the smpl interface stating that none of the devs could match the OP's bandwidth.

Re: External tools: par2 & unrar x64

If I were to move either the 32-bit multithreaded, or classic par2 to the x64 directory, do I need to move any of the DLLs along with it? tbb.dll in \x64\ is differently sized to the one in par2 root directory, where there are an additional two libraries: msvcp72.dll and msvcr71.dll. Why is it disad...

Re: External tools: par2 & unrar x64

So I'm a few days "into Usenet" and have now had my first experience with a broken download. I came home to find par2 hung on repair, munching up 100% CPU and going nowhere. Not knowing much about the other two versions in (\win\par2\) I picked the classic exe and performed a manual repair...

Re: What to do with CRC errors?

Thank you for your last comment inpheaux. I was just about to post with a query regarding downloads which pass Quick Check but fail RAR extraction. The example I was going to cite can be seen in this screenshot (redacted) where part 36 is clearly undersized and out of place. It was then noted that a...

Re: SABnzbd Monitor, first public release

It hasn't been tested with 0.5 yet, I haven't read about 0.5 yet, so if there's been changes to the API, I haven't implemented them. Will take a look, though Is development for SABnzbd Monitor still ongoing? Perhaps expectedly it is not able to detect SABnzbd @ localhost:8080 when running 0.5.0Beta...

Re: What to do with CRC errors?

Myself also. I personally wonder whether I am following an appropriate workflow in these cases; my current approach is very basic: 1) I try to identify the 'corrupt' RAR either visually when it's filesize stands out as being different or using the HashCheck shell extension in conjuction with an incl...
