so far so good.
the 2nd instance trying to startup at approx. the same time seemed to be the problem on my side...
thanks for all the help in narrowing that down.

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
I didn't do anything. just copy/paste. it's the one located in the AppData\Local\sabnzbd\logs folder (not the one found in the "log path" set up in config > folders > system folders > log folder ). looking through my setup a bit more (with autoruns ), I do realize I may have 2 shortcuts th...

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
ok. here I have it (the debug log). it happened again. here is en extract of the sabnzbd.log file, since it mentionned 0.6.10. I enabled the debug level at some point. http://justpaste.it/kgu right now there is a sabnzbd.ini & a sabnzbd.ini.bak which are the very same size, but which are both un...

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
nope. I checked a few times already (and did so once again): no file has ever been read-only in this folder. antivir: microsoft security essentials which is very unobstrusive, and doesn't do "behind the user's back" stuff (I mean, it doesn't take a single action without asking for the user...

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
Hi. I tried 0.6.10 unfortunately, this new version does not fix this issue... ERROR: Cannot create backup file for C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Local\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.ini the folder mentionned above does have a sabnzbd.ini.tmp, but no other file (except subfolders: admin, cache & logs). the .ini file ...

encrypt passwords (ie. ng server & EMAIL!) in sabnzbd.ini
Hi. I know this subject has already been discussed a bit. Still, I did see mentionned the ng server password, but I would stress out the email password that is also in plaintext AND that is in my opinion WAY more sensitive and would IMHO urge more for an action on this topic. As a reminder, Gmail fo...

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
nope, I never put it read only.
I rechecked: it just has the "A" attribute set currently...
the backup ini file I copy over when the issue arise, is also "A" attrib only.
I'll try next release when it is ready and keep you posted if it ever happen again.

Re: Wizard loop - every time i start my pc
hi. I do have the same issue too. using 0.6.9 (win32) on a win7 x64 system. I have been using sabnzbd for a long time, and I always update to latest versions as they get released. the issue seemed to appear since a few versions for me (definitely the 0.6.x branch). my system didn't change. nothing e...

API: issue with set_config & server settings
hi. 1st & foremost: thanks a lot for this great app! now, straight to the issue: using API, I manage to use mode=set_config to change settings in sabnzbd.ini everything works except, when I want to change a server setting (like ' connections '), due to the fact that each server is a SUB -section...

Re: Love SabNZBD! Is there a similar bittorrent client?
- deluge (win, linux, bsd, macosx) the one most in the "spirit" (so to speak) of sabnzbd+ - transmission (macosx, linux, bsd, some hw devices) an alternative worth looking at. - utorrent (win, macosx) impressive webui (brilliant ajax coding), though is is not a "strict" daemon (u...
