Re: New installation on CentOS7 doesn't start
Fine, we'll go back to my unanswered question. Starting sabnzbdplus in the terminal returns a colourful menu that does not respond well to my keyboard. The language is Danish (top menu option) which I cannot change, nor can I change other lines. The terminal video code seems to be wrong. After killi...

Re: New installation on CentOS7 doesn't start
Thanks again, Sander. I may come back to this issue as I can see errors while you don't. But I followed your advice to install Docker and I would now like to finish that installation first. Obviously it's a no-brainer and sabnzbd started right away. As the program now runs in a container, there is ...

Re: New installation on CentOS7 doesn't start
Thanks for your Docker advice, that's interesting. Nevertheless I decided to rebuild the server and use debian/ubuntu. Installation of sabnzbd went fine but now I have some configuration problems. 1. I can open sabnzbplus, but it persists in Danish and the keys do not respond properly., i.e. there i...

Re: New installation on CentOS7 doesn't start
Thank you. There are 2 SABnzbd.py files. I tried the first one returning a python version problem. A new ClearOS7 installation comes with Python 2.7.5. I installed Python 3.10 but I was facing a _ssl problem [root@dotter39 opt]# python3.10 SABnzbd.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "/op...

New installation on CentOS7 doesn't start
I made a new installation on CentOS7, by using the official sabnzbd Wiki, Third-party Repository. That resulted in a running sabnzbd, but I couldn't find a config file or a directory ~./sabnzbd. So, I decided to install according to From Sources. Now the service won't start anymore and I could still...

Re: SABnzbd doesn't start on boot (CentOS7)
Works great. Thanks. Root as user was not a problem, although I have changed the sabnzbd user now. Problem was a small typo in sabnzbd.service.

Re: SABnzbd doesn't start on boot (CentOS7)
"systemctl start sabnzbd.service" is processed without any error or confirmation, but afterwards there is no sabnzbd process running

SABnzbd doesn't start on boot (CentOS7)
After upgrading my Linux server from CentOS6 to CentOS7 I had to re-install SABnzbd. It runs great like before, but the program is no longer automatically started at boot up. I can start the program from a PuTTY terminal on a Windows machine. Change from the former installation is, that I now use ro...

Re: RPM for Fedora 14-16 and RHEL/CentOS/Scientific Linux 5-
Hans,
Also please change the last line in the original post into: "chkconfig --level 345 SABnzbd on", not "levels".
This didn't automatically start my SABnzbd on reboot, though. Probably a minor issue, but someone having any idea?

Re: RPM for Fedora 14-16 and RHEL/CentOS/Scientific Linux 5-
Hans, Thanks for doing a great job. I have now successfully installed SABnzbd on my new ClearOS 6 (=CentOS 6 = RHEL 6) system using your rpm, but this was no obvious job at all. It seemed to work from the beginning, running SABnzbd as a service: Starting SABnzbd ... [OK]. However, I couldn't get acc...

Re: No pick-up from drop box w/o file association
Thank you, babiulep! The difference between our setups is, that I run only one dropbox on the Windows client and none on the server. I call the box from the Linux server as \\WinClient\C:\ Documents and Settings\User\Downloads\nzb and it works fine, so I'm calling the right folder and I don't need t...

No pick-up from drop box w/o file association
Hello, I use SABnzbd 0.5.0 on my Linux server, using a Windows XP client for dropping .nzb files in a local drop box. SABnzbd will only pick up the .nzb files in the drop box if file extension nzb is accociated with a program on the local Windows machine. Obviously, I don't need any nzb-program on t...

Re: Script for mounting DVD ISO-files on Linux server -- Improved version
I made a much improved version of the script for mounting iso-files als DVD, on a Linux server. Please note: This is intended for people using SABnzbd on a (remote) Linux server, connecting to the server via a (PuTTY) terminal. The script will automate the mounting process for all iso and ISO files ...
