For information I tried the 32bits program on my Athlon 2200 (so one core) and the par2 produced had not the same md5sum as the reference par2 packaged by Debian.
I expected a little more speed with the MMX added lately.

You can also use ionice to be sure that par2/unrar don't get all ressources

I personally use ionice to make sure par2 and unrar don't ruin my download time. I simply added an alias to my user running Sabnzbd :

Have tried moving your mouse to the top of the plush page (just above Category), you should see Menu toggler, if you click on it( once or twice I don't remember) you should be able to upload an nzb
