Re: cannot create folder
Should I finish my queue first? Then should I use Git to install or is it better to install from the zip (or tar.gz) file?

Re: cannot create folder
I have the same issue, when I start SAB (or after restarting it), it complains that it cannot create the incomplete folder (although it already exists). I tried changing the folder perms to 777 (I am on centos linux) and SAB still complains it cant create the incomplete folder. This doesnt reoccur a...

Re: Frugalusenet intermittently work with SAB
Reducing the number of connections by a few seems to help a lot. Actually, the number of connections in SAB should be the max number allowed by the USP minus whats being used for other services (such as newznab)... What happened I think was that between SAB and newznab, I was exceeding the max 50 al...

Re: Frugalusenet intermittently work with SAB
I thought restarting SAB did the trick but after about an hour idle, I just sent a job to the queue and I am being flooded with "Cannot connect to server eunews.frugalusenet.com [Authentication failed, check username/password.]" Testing the server in servers config page also yields to a wr...

Disable https certs verification
My personal newznab indexer runs on a webserver (Apache) which uses a self signed https cert (created by myself). Since version 0.7.x of SAB, I am no longer capable of using the connection between SAB and newznab because of the self signed cert which is "untrusted" from SAB's point-of-view...

Frugalusenet intermittently work with SAB
Hello I have registered to Frugalusenet a few weeks ago, and immediately procedded to reconfigure my servers in SAB. The issue is that SAB seems not capable of working with Frugal's servers very well. In the main webinterface, I see tons of the following error message: "Cannot connect to server...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
The whole situation feels as if newznab was lacking the technology to deal with compressed headers (or if I was missing some dependencies) but I installed newznab acc. to the instructions and used it for years now without compression. Since I tried to use compression, it never worked. The update scr...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
Done the registration to Astraweb, same thing, newznab doesnt work with header compression... Not working with astraweb and not working with supernews but its working with Forte Agent for both USP's.. Indexing may be over for me or else I have to try another indexer There's no way to get support fro...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
Im super tempted to register to astraweb's special offer but how do I know before hand if compressed headers will work with NN? Anybody uses astraweb and newznab together? Should be a *few* people out there doing that since astraweb is one of the major USP on the market and NN+ is the most used inde...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
hey zac851 what about header compression? Supernews seems to use a strange protocol, anyways newznab will not work with supernews compressed headers and the Nn+ folks have ignored every single one of my attempts to get support from them.. Either I ditch nn+ (lack of support, not to say nonexistent, ...

Re: Suggestions for usenet providers in 2014...
I just realized that I had lost the reply notification for this thread and im still having issues.. First of all thanks guys for replying! The issue I found myself in is that my current USP (Supernews) doesnt seem to support compressed headers, or newznab cant work with it.. Anyways, activating head...

Re: Python crash on centos server?
I don't know if removing history1.db helps ... I tried here, and that does NOT remove history ... ??? Definitely weird if that db file is supposed to contain the history queue.... I did what you suggested (mv admin admin2 and restart SAB). So far so good. Nothing in the logs showing that bug yet bu...

Re: Python crash on centos server?
Before I try what you suggested, let me ask: Right now the history queue is empty but there are dozens of jobs waiting to be started in the job queue... Will I lose all my jobs if I mv admin to admin2???
