I'm just fine and happy on 0.7.16. But I know the newest versions are out. My SAB hasn't prompted to update either from within SAB, (as it had for previous ipdates) or from apt-get.
I'm running Ununtu Server 14.0.4 LTS

Re: No auto update in Ubuntu server
Updates via official channels on release-based distributions are generally limited to security issues and other very serious bugs. In addition, the sab packages for debian and ubuntu disable the program's builtin new version warning, because simply replacing the package-installed files with those from a tar.gz of a newer version won't ever work.
That said, I do maintain a ppa providing the latest version for every supported ubuntu release, see here.

How easy is it to switch over to your repository?
I'm suprised that a new version doesn't warrant an official channel release
