2.2.0b1 wiped my hard drive

Post by renegade »

Let me preface by saying I just updated to beta 2, and hopefully fixes this issue. I have also since disabled direct unpack, in case its related.

Mac OS X 10.9.5

Target drive is USB connected to a Mac mini that I run PLEX on.

So not sure exactly what the issue is/was but sab is deleting all files off of this drive (x264-5) and by all files I mean even Mac OS system files.

At first I thought it was an issue with PLEX, but looking now in the sab logs, I see it was sab all along.

For example:

2017-07-25 15:52:41,332::DEBUG::[misc:1404] Removing file /Volumes/x264-5/.DS_Store
2017-07-25 15:52:41,732::DEBUG::[misc:1404] Removing file /Volumes/x264-5/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.1080p.bluray.x264.mkv
2017-07-25 15:52:41,798::DEBUG::[misc:1412] Removing dir /Volumes/x264-5/This.Is.Now.An.Empty-DIR

2017-07-25 15:52:41,864::DEBUG::[misc:1412] Removing dir /Volumes/x264-5/This.Is.Now.Another.Empty-DIR

ETC....

Over 300 movie files gone.

Oh man I am so sorry :/
This is indeed a bug in Direct Unpack when your Categories are setup to not write to seperate folders.
I will fix this right away.
