With SABnzbd+ versions prior to 2.0 I was getting about 20-22MB/s download speeds from my 300Mbps cable connection. I just figured they were throttling newsgroup traffic since I could get 35-37MB/s from Steam and various Microsoft sites, etc.
With version 2.0 I'm now getting between 33-37MB/s speeds on download with zero changes to my network or to my configurations...so the new version was a HUGE boost.
I just wanted to say Thank You to the development team and everyone who worked hard on this...
Just saying thanks

Re: Just saying thanks
Just made a $25 donation...as much as I use SABnzbd I should do more soon.
Re: Just saying thanks
Agree with this! I've also donated and plan to do so annually. Great program and great support.

Re: Just saying thanks
Just upgraded to version 2.3.1 and I am getting the same improvements. Previously my download speed was around 28-30 MB/s now I am reaching 38-41MB/s.
Also the direct unpack function is awesome! Perhaps for a future version a function to directly play videos can be added . This already works for e.g. mkv or avi files by going to the folder and playing the video with e.g. VLC, but will interfere with the renaming after completion.
Regardless, just donated 25 dollars for the outstanding work.

Direct Unpack is great indeed!
You can probably stop the problems by going into Config > Switches and unchecking 'Enable folder rename', this way it won't make the __UNPACK__ folder and go straight to the final name without any renaming.
