Delete old data from Incomplete folder?

Post by wysocki »

My incomplete folder is many, many gigabytes in size, most of it related to old shows and movies which are long gone. Is there a way to have this cleaned up automatically? Or is there any guidance on what can be safely deleted manually?

In SABnzbd's upper right corner, click on the wrench symbol ("Status and interface options"), then click on Orphaned Jobs ... anything there? Can you click Repair?

If not, you can just delete old directories in Incomplete.

Wrench is not in upper right, it's in the left side group and labeled "Config". Didn't see anything there about orphaned jobs. Clicked on Status (to the left of config) and there's a "Queue Repair" tab that lists a zillion orphaned jobs allowing me to delete one at a time (Gah!). Decided to just delete them using file manager.

How does a job become orphaned anyway?

You are using the old Plush interface or maybe a very old SABnzbd.
Try to update if you are not running 3.1.1.
You shouldn't be getting orphans.
@OneCD active jobs are excluded of course ;) or at least they should be..

I'm running 3.1.1 but it appears that I am running Plush. However, I was totally unaware that it was the "old Plush interface" or that there was any alternative. I've been scouring the net for info on this apparent "Glitter" thing but nowhere have I actually found a download for it! If it's better than Plush, why isn't is just part of the main install/update?

Glitter is the default skin and of course included, you can change it in Config > General and then tick Advanced Settings.
That's why there is also the link to change it on top of every page "This skin is no longer actively maintained. We recommend using the Glitter skin."
If you click on that it will take you right to the settings.
Probably you installed SABnzbd long ago?

I guess I've had it installed about a year or so and got Plush as default (below). Never noticed the skin selection (called "Interface" in the config). Although Glitter is cleaner, it seems a step back in flexibility. It was able to delete all my orphaned jobs though!

Glitter allows much more flexibility, just check the tips and tricks page. All can be configured to your liking.
