Using Glitter now - how can I see when there are updates?

Post by jonbauer »

Hi All,

Am running the Beta, but it appears that the "Update Available" messages that I used to see when I used Plush aren't popping up. I never saw that 3.2.0 Beta 2 was out when I had Beta 1, for example...

I DO have "Check for New Release" set to "Also Test Releases" btw.

Is there some way to enable getting that status in Glitter?

Not that it matters (I think), but I'm running on a Mac.

- Thanx!

OK

http://127.0.0.1:8080/sabnzbd/config/ge ... ck_new_rel ... offers:

Off
On
Also test releases

... that last option is your friend

Yes, that's how mine is set up, but I still didn't see that there was an update available... That's what I'm saying.

Oh, yes.

My sabnzbd.log (set to +Debug) says:

2021-01-29 15:48:34,376::DEBUG::[misc:427] Checked for a new release, cur=3020042, latest=3010199 (on https://sabnzbd.org/downloads.html), latest_test=3020042 (on https://sabnzbd.org/downloads.html)

The GUI says "Weekly check for new SABnzbd release." ... I hope it works like this:
- weekly if SAB is running all the time
- always at startup

Ah, it's a weekly check - ok, then I guess it just hadn't checked yet when I figured out that the new one was out... Thanks.

A week seems a bit slow... I'd prefer hourly! (I guess I just like updates...)

Ok, good to know... I don’t restart it very often, but...

Is there some way to make the interval selectable?
