Adjust Update Check for Synology-Versions?

Currently, the SABnzbd on my Synology tells me:
New version available! 3.2.1

But if I have a look at
https://synocommunity.com/package/sabnzbd
there is no new version (yet) available to install

Could you please adjust the update check for the versions not directly available at
https://sabnzbd.org/downloads

I can't take care of it, but ... FWIW ... I agree with you.

Same is true for docker images, and sabnzbd installed on Linux from repo's.

Only if SABnzbd was installed from Windows or MacOS binary or github source, the message is valid / useful. So: directly from sabnzbd.org or github .

In other cases ... it should be just a note "You're using an old version. Contact your packager for a newer version"

Indeed, it would be easy to disable. However, I want people to be triggered and poke their package managers that they provide and update...
Specifically for Synology, I myself make the packages, so I could fix it for that package.

It's a little bit irritating to see this "warning" and then keep checking it, only to find "still nothing newer available"

I've seen this from sabnzbd on Synology for years. I simply ignore the message within the app as the update usually shows up as a suggested install within a few weeks in the Synology Package Center. Clicking on the update link in the app only takes you to a download, so unless you want to manually install it as root, it's much easier to wait for the latest one to show up in SynoCommunity for install in Package Center.

It would be nice if the update could be performed within the app as is the case with Sonarr instead of just a pointer to a download page. Oh well, grateful just to have a working app.

I believe any information about a new SABnzbd update is helpful for Synology users too.
Would it not be possible to link to this URL: https://synocommunity.com/package/sabnzbd instead the generic https://sabnzbd.org/downloads URL?
(I assume it is too complicated to check the version directly at Synolocommunity and only show the information if the update is really available)?

Since I provide the updates for SynoCommunity, there's not much the user can do after seeing the notification. Of course they need to update their Synology packages, but I hope they do that in general.
