Download speed slowing down in Server 2012 r2 throttling the network, not with windows 10 desktop

Hello,

I have SABnzbd 3.11 installed on a Windows Server2012r2 and each download part starts fine then the speed slows down



This seems to be something in Server 2012 r2 throttling the network. If i install SABnzbd on my windows 10 desktop and use the same internet connection, same news host etc i dont see the throttling.

any ideas?

We have heard of this before, indeed Windows Server seems to do throttling.
Just to be sure, how is the CPU and memory usage? Is the server fast enough?

You can enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window.
Then download in that same window the 1000MB test-file.
Do you also see the slowdown?
Then download the logs and search for "Delaying", what does it show?
Also search for "server closed connection", maybe it's package loss.

Hi,

During the 1000MB download i saw the same download throttling. CPU usage was average 18% on the server and memory 16%.

Nothing in the log for "delaying" / "delay" or "server closed"

I think I remberber that a user reported he had to disable some special QoS settings.
It's indeed the OS limiting the speed so other services can still have enough bandwith.

Now its just to find that special setting and switch it off ;-)
Google so far hasnt produced the answer.

Hi,

Can anyone help me with locating the setting to turn off the Qos that is throttling the download speed. I have tried everything that goggle has thrown up but the downloads are still throttling.

I have even set SABnzbd as prioity to see it that would work.

Was there ever any resolution to this? I'm experiencing something very similar all of a sudden.
