Truenas installed under proxmox as a vm. Disk controllers passed through as vfio to truenas vm.
Installing it as a truenas jail would allow for direct disk io. Installing it into a proxmox lxc container would require using nfs for disk io.
There's pros/cons to either method I suppose. Goal is to be able to maintain line speed (gigabit) throughput while doing direct unpack.
The nas vm has 4 vcores and 16gb ram assigned. Server cpu is a 5800x
