Downloads getting stuck at 100% until restarting client

Sabnzb on windows server 2019. Current version 4.3.2 but having issue since 4.2.3.

Downloads will get to 99% and then stop, and will not complete until I restart SABnzb.
just some of the things I have tried

• unchecking Direct unpack in switches

• Updating to newest version

• restarting windows

• made sure that I have plenty of space in temp directory

• force disconnect

• made sure no connections were stuck open with news servers

I am unsure how to proceed at this point other than a complete reinstall, which I am not too crazy about doing, but seems like that is my last troubleshooting task to do unless im missing something. This will happen regularly regardless of que size. Sometimes I will open SabNZB to see that 30 downloads are at 99% and restarting will promptly have all of them begin to unpack and complete, sometimes its 1 or 2 files which have just been sitting there for hours. This most recent time I tried doing a que repair rather than a restart, and while it also completed the downloads, I would rather them complete without me needing to repair or restart manually. Any advice or guidance on this? Only been using SAB for the past 2-3 months or so, but it has been a off and on issue until now, becoming constant.

It does, but that is the issue, I am having to restart every single time I want to download something, which breaks any sort of automation or ease of use... I would like any solution or tips that aren't "just restart when you get the issue", since I get the issue on every single download. I wouldn't be too opposed to this if I only had to restart every week or so.

For example, I started a 60 GB download when I made this post about an hour or so ago, and now checking it is sitting at 99%. If I restart, the file will finish, and rinse and repeat for the next download that comes through..

Hanging downloads could happen in the past if you had more than one server, and one server did not respond correctly, but AFAIK that has been solved. See viewtopic.php?t=26620#:~:text=We%20have ... ume%20them.

I don't know how you can check that anti-hang in your logging.

You can force it to complete by setting the Priority to Stop.
To resolve, how many servers do you have and did you change any server settings manually or through the scheduler during the download?
How many connections does each server use?

I have 12 servers total, with 10 enabled. Most are set to 50/40 connections with one exception of 100 and another of 10.
I do not change any settings during the download, and I have not attempted to yet. most of the downloads are added through .arr automation, and I open Sab to see all of them already stuck at 99%. I added some manually to see if that could be the issue possibly, but those got stuck too until I restarted.
Looking at it a bit closer, it could be a server thing I suppose, as after monitoring after a restart it seems to download just a couple of KB's before it completes and unpacks. Weird thing is that when they are hung I do not see any open connections to the servers though, and even the force disconnect doesn't complete them like a restart does.

Any other possible solution or cause? I'll try to set the priority to stop rather than restart next time to see if that would save me from having to restart, but ideally I would like for them to complete without me having to manually finish them, whether that be via restart or priority change.

10 servers at 50/40, so a total of 500/400 simulaneous connections? Wow.

This might lead to non-functioning connections in your OS, firewall/virusscanner, NAT/router, CGNAT (if there).

Less is more. Lower to 10 connections per server, and try again.

While SAB is not dowloading, what Internet speed does the SABnzbd Wrench (upper right corner) report?

The problem is that one of that massive amount of connections timed out and somehow got an article in a faulty state. With such huge number of connections I could ask for your Debug log, but it would just be impossible to trace.
Indeed, start with 10 connections per server.
Especially if you have it setup with multiple priority levels, the higher priority ones really don't need that many since they will rarely be used.

Sorry for the delay in response. I changed my connections to around 10 per server and have not had the issue ever since I made the change. Seems that was indeed the issue. Now have 10 active servers at around 10 connections each and that seems to be a sweet spot.
