I am currently running on ubuntu 22.04
I am trying to install sabnzbdplus My problem is a bit different. I blew up a computer that had everything on it. Now I want to go and get the sabnzbd.ini file, open it up, and see how it was setup. Its been a very long time since I looked at this stuff and this would really help me if I could take a look at that folder. The problem is that I cannot seem to be able to either get into that file or transfer it someplace else to deal with. When I try that, and when I try and open it I get:
Error opening file /media/greg/93f19c15-aba5-4b0d-a313-68d6e54522de/home/greg/.sabnzbd/sabnzbd.ini: Input/output error
I own both sabnzbd.ini files but can do nothing with them!
If I could move the file I could put it into my installation and see what happens but I con't move it.
I have no idea why. I have tried to do it normally and with sudo nautilus, etc. without any solution.
Thoughts?

Re: New Installation - wizard question
I/O error suggests the HDD is damaged.
Have you run a fsck on it?

Re: New Installation - wizard question
I have run fsck on the ssd. Said there was a problem but it got fixed. Still having problems trying to deal with sabnzbd.ini. It also says that its: Binary (application/octet-stream) There is also a sabnzbd.ini.bak but, I think, it needs a different program to open it.
Re: New Installation - wizard question
.bak is usually just a copy of the original file, but with the name altered. Maybe try renaming it?

Re: New Installation - wizard question
Thank you for the reply...........
Its pretty strange. the sabnzbd.ini is in a file called .sabnzbd There are three or four other files there are I can open, move, and edit any one of them. But when it comes to the .ini file I am flat out stopped. VERY strange! I should also mention that I can open the .ini file in the sabnzbd I just installed. I am, incidentally, having the same sorts of problems with a new installation of sonarr as well. Both the files for sonarr and sabnzbd are on the same sdd from the blowed system.
If I could get to either one it would make things a lot easier but, I suspect, not gonna happen.........
