Hi,
Windows XP - SABnzbd+ 0.4.11
My server complains about that 'Only 6 connections [are] allowed. Please set "Reset hanging connections after 120 seconds"'. I was looking through the configuration of my SABnzbd, but could not find out where to do that. Where hould I 'reset haning connections'? Should I use 'Config' --> 'General' --> 'Tuning: Queue auto refresh interval'?

Re: Only 'X' connections allowed
Check how many connections are set up for your server under config>servers.
If you do indeed have 6 set, then I would try the following in order:
1) Increase the timeout value from 120 to 300 for your server (config>servers)
2) Turn disconnect on empty queue OFF under config>switches
3) Decrease your number of connections to say 3 or 4.

Re: Only 'X' connections allowed
Hello,
It has been some time since I got this answer from Switch (thanks by the way):
I do not see a "disconnect on empty queue" under config>switches.
When I "Decrease [my] number of connections to say 3 or 4", would that influence my performance? If I do not change my settings, has that an averse influence on my performance?
TIA,
Macamba

I can not change the timeout value beyond 200. Each time I change it to 300, it reverts back to 200. Should I try to configure it with Internet Explorer? I'm quite a SeaMonkey man myself, but have noticed some websites being build solely for IE. Any suggestions?switch wrote: Check how many connections are set up for your server under config>servers.

Re: Only 'X' connections allowed
There's no need to go beyond a 200 sec timeout.
You would have to have quite a bad provider to require that.
Whether using more connections is helpful depends on your Usenet provider.
Some have max speed with just a few connections, with some you need more.
Recently there has been a marketing war between the top-advertising providers
claiming that more connections would mean more speed. Often this is not true.
