Warning: API Key missing ...Please advise

Post by frimilden »

Hello and firstly thank you for such a great program. I absolutely love Sabnzbd+

I am running Ubuntu 8.10.
I got an update for Sab this morning. Since I updated I am getting an error:

WARNING [interface] API Key missing, please enter the api key from config>general into your 3rd party program:

Is this a known issue? How do I fix it? Or is this a problem on my end?

Also as of this update my 'Sabnzbd' firefox extension no longer works right. It will no longer show time left or size of download, etc...

If the firefox extention you mention is nzbdstatus, then upgrade to version 1.0.7

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... sions/7617 (check the checkbox and add to firefox)

Thank you for the swift reply. That fixed the error, but it still will not show time left to download. I was in the settings of nzbdstatus and it has an area for the API Key. Could this be why it is not showing ETA of downloads? If so what is the key or how do I find out?

Yes sorry I should have mentioned. Go to Config>General in SABnzbd and copy your API Key and enter it into nzbdstatus' settings page.

I followed these steps (installed nzbdstatus 1.0.7 and set the API key), however now when in newzbin and click on Send to sabnzbd, nothing happens.

What else do I need to do?  Everything was working before until I upgraded to sabnzbd 0.4.9.  I'm on OSX.

I'm getting mad... it was working brilliant for months, then I upgraded to 0.4.11 and nzbstatus 1.09, pasted the API key from the web admin to nzbstatus and I still have these errors...

I'm running this setup on Mac OS X.

The second computer, a MacBook, works like a charm... same config !

As a last resort, you can disable the security feature.
Config->General.
