Hello ppl,
I have 5.0a3 setup and working fine, however I cannot load the web interface from outside my LAN. I have a domain name that points to my WAN address, then forward port 80 to my pc where Sabnzbd runs (yes port 80 is set in sabnzbd and its set to listen on its LAN IP where the port is forwarded to). I also had this problem with 0.4.11.
In Firefox I get "The connection has timed out", but I can ping my domain name just fine, constant 40ms.
Running Windows Server 2008 R2 with NO firewalls
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Cant access from WAN
Have you tried accessing SABnzbd from another PC within your local network?
If that works OK, then it must be something in your router setup.
No firewall, does that also exclude virus-scanners that monitor ports (e.g. McAfee Corporate products)?

Re: Cant access from WAN
Hmmm I just tried port 8080 and it works fine.
Yeah, I could always access it from other PC's in my LAN. No firewalls here either.

Re: Cant access from WAN
Maybe your ISP blocks port 80, to prevent you from running a webserver?chipped wrote: Hmmm I just tried port 8080 and it works fine.
Mine blocks port 25, so that one cannot run a email server (anti-spam policy of course).
Re: Cant access from WAN
Na, they dont block port 80.
Re: Cant access from WAN
Last guess: your router doesn't allow port 80, because it runs its own web-interface over that port.
(Many routers can expose their web-interface to the WAN-side too).
