0 KB nzb files left in nzb watch folder after imort into queue.

Post by rvank »

When we place nzb files in the watch folder they get read-in into the queue and they are placed in the nzb backup folder, BUT....
1. The nzb file is left in the watch folder with a size of 0 KB.
2. A backup nzb file from the backup folder moved to the watch folder does not get read-in to the queue.

Working with:
OS. Windows 7 (build 7100)
SABnzbd version 0.4.11
The option 'Do not download same job twice' is turned OFF

Kind regards
Rob.

Looks like some other program accesses the NZB file.
Can you delete the NZB files manually?
How do you put the files in the watched folder?

I can delete the 0KB files manually.
We download the nzb files via our laptops and then copy them to the watch folder via our share on the download server.

kind regards
Rob.

Hi,

I have the same problem with mostly the same setup. Biggest diference is that I don't have the option checked to backup the nzb's.

I download the NZB files on my laptop directly to a share on my HTPC which is running W7x64 b7100 with SABnzbD 0.4.11. However when I download the nzb's directly on my HTPC the files get deleted correctly.
Before I was working the same way but with Vistax64 on the HTPC and the nzb's got deleted correctly.

I fixed this by adding the nzb directory to the exclusion list of my virusscanner (AVG free), however that is not the most desirable option and wasn't needed with Vista.

Windows forbids the deletion of files while any program is looking at them.
We are not going to keep trying to delete the files, there's a limit to our featuritis.
Once a file has been read, it will be ignored in subsequent scans.
(Unless you change or overwrite the file).
