I'm hoping to instruct sabnzbd to not separate downloads into their own folders.

Version: latest
OS: Windows 7
Install-type:  win install
Firewall Software: None
Is the issue reproducible? yes

Most of the content I acquire is for my phone.  So, I need to re-encode it for size and resolution purposes.

I'd like to instruct sabnzbd to unrar and place all downloaded content into a root download folder.  I've searched through the options, devoured google and read through the forums; yet, the solution still escapes me.

So, to recap...

Is there a way to have sabnzbd put all finished content into the root of the completed dowload folder?

Thanks

Goto Config>Categories  and set the default Folder/Path the the place you want it.
Then just make sure all nzb's are downloaded using the default catagory

Hope this helps

I certainly appreciate you help!!

I have a custom folder setup for my downloads in the options you mentioned.  Each new completed item is unpacked into the download folder.  The problem is that everything is unpacked like this:

downloads/item 1/item 1.avi
downloads/item 2/item 2.avi
downloads/item 3/item 3.avi

What I'd like it to look like is this:

downloads/item 1.avi
downloads/item 2.avi
downloads/item 3.avi

I concur. I have several RSS feads where I download only the nzb file so TV sorting is honored when the generated nzb doesn't conform to sorting standards (tvshow.717.nzb is what I'm trying to avoid). I have the completed folder for these RSS nzb downloads set to an appropriate watched folder. Since a subfolder is created in the watched folder, the downloaded nzb is not found by SABnzbd. I have a homegrown script similar to the one here: GHDPro's solution, but it would be nice to have subfolder options per category.

Same issue, that and not being able to search within my queue are what have kept me from making the switch to sabnzbd.

I'd personally make use of the option if it was available, I'm currently using the script mentioned above and occasionally falling foul of the Windows "Folder not empty" dramas!
