Just upgraded my alpha11 to beta1 and it's looking good.
One thing I've noticed is that SAB now blocks a server for 10 minutes when there's an issue with that server.
Here's what I got a few minutes ago:
newszilla6.xs4all.nl:119: 0 (Unblock) Server will be ignored for 10 minutes
But then I hit the unblock word and it didn't unblock the server.
I'm on Firefox 3.5.5 and running SAB 0.5.0beta1 under windows 2003 R2 server.

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.

Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.
