We're still investigating reported problems with RSS.
It's certain that there is something wrong and it has to do with
the flagging (*) of the initial batch.
You can check your filters with "Preview".
Only the automatic downloading has some error.

ohh okay that means its the app.
i havent tried the rss it with the previous version.

To be sure are my filters correct?

What exactly does the *  ?
Does it have to be at the start and the end ?

Im not sure about that

Thanks FrAggLE

The idea is that when you define a new feed,
you do not want to download all the backlog in the feed.
Therefore SABnzbd marks all NZB-s in the first batch with a '*'.
These will not be automatically downloaded (you can do them manually
use the "Force" button).
All new NZB-s in subsequent read-outs of the feed will be
download (if they match).

Beta1 has a problem in that it seems slap on the '*' sign
also for subsequent scans and not only for the first one.

Again, you can test your filters by using preview and checking
yourself how the current content of the feed matches with the filters.
"Matched" and "Not Matched" sections of the preview.
The problem does not affect the filters, only the decision about automatic downloading.

That's the exact problem I'm having with the nzbmatrix rss feed with beta 1. I've rebooted, tried unchecked feed feed 1, rechecked, etc and it is still putting the * behind everything.
Running on ubuntu 9.10 32bit

Edit found the bug listed in the forum. Was looking in the wrong place. Will read thread:  http://forums.sabnzbd.org/index.php?topic=2865.0

Yes, everyone who uses RSS feeds and preview sees that.
Will be fixed in next Beta.

It's on the edge now.
We discovered an error in the code (present since the early Alpha's)
that sets a time-out of 4 seconds for each URL-type action (reading the RSS feed and
getting the NZB files).
4 seconds is asking for trouble. Works for most sites but not for all and not always.
Release 0.4.x uses 120 seconds (which is overkill, but works OK).
This will be fixed in the next Beta, which will arrive soon.
