Hi,
I have SABnzbd configured to use 4 connections to a server. In the connection screen there is a line that shows 'server:port:number' for the connections. The number of connections changes sometimes to 3 and also 3 threads are shown instead of 4. Using the restart button on the config page brings it back to 4. I am not sure if this is causing it but the only error I see in the error log is:
[downloader:561] Too many connections to server ssl.hitnews.eu:995
I have set 'Article Cache Limit' to 25M and use SSL.
Regards,
Erik

Re: Loss of a connection in beta 4
Some servers have problems keeping track of the number of used connections.
When SABnzbd gets an error message from server telling that there
are too many used, it scales back assuming you either entered a number
that's too high or you are sharing with another instance.

Re: Loss of a connection in beta 4
Hi Shypike,
Thanks for the reply. But I used to get the message about too many used connections also often with SABnzbd 4.12 but it never reduced the number of connections on it's own. If this is a new feature, then maybe it should be made configurable if it should automatically reduce the number of connections or not.
Further I would like to thank you and the other developers for version 0.5. It surely has nice new features and enhancements.

Erik
