problem with retriving NZB's (Trying to fetch NZB from XXXXXXXXX)

Hi All,
after installing the beta 5 and 6 my sabnzbd is having problem fetching NZB from sites.
when the rss find new NZB's to download, they are added as "Trying to fetch NZB from XXXXXXXXX" and nothing happend .
also when i use the new "Add to Subnzbd" (from firefox) im having the same problem.

Please tell where you are trying to get them from.
Unsubstantiated "it doesn't work" claims aren't very helpful.

I have the same problem often with rss trying to fetch from Nzbmatrix and gets stalled.
I have to reboot SABnzbd to complete rss fetching...

I cannot confirm your problems with the sites you mentioned.
I use tvnzb regularly.
However these sites can be slow (no suprise).
SABnzbd does bunch of retries and if it fails after a long time
it files an entry in the history.
Please set logging to debug level and after failure look in the
log file for messages about tvnzb.com.

Not sure what you mean with "Add to SABnzbd" (from Firefox)".
If you are using some FF plugin: we do not support those.
Please complain with its author.

Can't confirm this at all on 0.5RC1 either, the nzbdstatus link works fine on both sites. You might want to make sure you've got the latest version of nzbdstatus - 1.0.13 - available here.

For nzbs.org make sure your RSS URL is like this:

http://nzbs.org/rss.php?catid=99&i=1234 ... xxxxx&dl=1

I get this error over RSS using nzbmatrix.

the format for my rss feed is:
http://rss.nzbmatrix.com/rss.php?page=d ... 9,6,41,8,7

it was a feed i created for just specific categories on nzbmatrix. Im running sabnzbd 0.5 b6, but i first noticed this happening on b5. If i do everything manually it will download the file. It just seems to never pull over RSS. This particular download sat for almost 24 hours before i manually grabbed it. On these new builds of sabnzbd will this old RSS method still work? i switched to that link when nzbmatrix introduced their API key

I had something like this show up also. But I haven't been able to get around to reproducing it. From what I can remember, using nzbdStatus to put a nzb into queue off of nzbmatrix and nzbs.org caused the issue mentioned here. I do recall that newzbin did work when the others did not. I also had the exact same issue with sickbeard happen at the same time. Which makes it seem like a sabnzbd problem. I know this isn't very useful but everything is working fine with newzbin so I've stuck to that. I also remember taking the url it was trying to fetch and pasting it into the address bar and both times it asked to download the nzb.

Im back with more information.
the problem is back

i have set my log level to Debug buy i can't see any log that relate to this problem.
the download that you see in the picture was stuck for more then 12 hours

Hi,
Having the same problems here.  Running Beta 6 on OS X 10.5.8 with Safari.  I am trying to fetch from nzbmatrix.  Was working fine for a couple of days, then all of the sudden this started happening regularly.  Simple way (for me) to get it working again temporarily was to shutdown deamon, shutdown Safari (completely) and then restart app.  Upon doing this, it was able to get the nsb, and downloads automagically began.  This is happening to me everyday.

Next Time im will try to restart the sabnzbd and see it will work , i will let you know.

We will be increasing the timeout for NZB retrieval again.
One would think 30 sec is enough, but not always so it seems.
We're going to 60 sec.

can i increase the time out manually or its hard coded
and if i can do it myself , can you let me know where can i find it (the name of the configuration file)

No, it's in the code.

where you can download a pre-release with a higher timeout.
