RSS not working - am I doing something wrong?

Hi all,

Trying to get RSS working but not sure whether I'm doing it right so would appreciate any help.

Using newzbin.com to configure a search with all appropriate filters and have successfully put this in as an RSS feed.  It should have picked something up last night but didn't so I went to check. 

If I click Preview, then the two files which should have been downloaded last night have indeed shown up but under the "Downloaded" heading.  The "Matched" and "Not matched" headings are empty.  Does this mean sabnzbd thinks these files have already been downloaded, even though they haven't?

Also, if I click the "Force Download" button, I thought this was supposed to force everything in the "Downloaded" list to be downloaded.  What I actually see is the same two files listed under the heading "Downloaded so far" but nothing else happens - they don't actually get queued for download.

Bit confused here so if anyone can offer any help I'd appreciate it.  Using 0.4.11 by the way.

Do you have the option "Do not download the same job twice" on?
Have some patience, soon you can upgrade to 0.5.0, which
has substantially improved RSS support.

Hi, no that option isn't ticked, nor have the two files in question ever been downloaded before (although I'm doing so manually now as I need them )

Do you reckon I should just wait for 0.5 rather than try to get this working?

It's up to you. Beta6 is a lot better.
Do read the release notes in the Announcement board.

I don't have a real explanation for what you encountered.
Only that any error on SABnzbd's side will not be fixed in 0.4.x any more.

Hi again,

Ok well I upgraded to Beta6 last night.  Checked this morning, as one of the RSS feeds should have brought up something new overnight but it still hasn't downloaded.

When I click preview on the RSS feed, the new file actually appears with all the old ones under "Downloaded", as if it's been done, when it hasn't.

Please feel free to move this thread to the beta forum now, didn't want to start yet another thread over there myself

Did you click the tickbox in the upper left corner of the feed definition?
It should be on for the scheduler to actually scan it.

Yep, it's definitely ticked.

There aren't any warnings or error messages in the Connections page?
The RSS module may think it has sent the URL to the downloader,
but it won't know if the NZB cannot be handled.
Isn't there anything in the History? Failed attempts should be visible in History.
