Whoa! Didn't even know this existed, I'd been using the mobile web interface. Great job!

I just randomly decided to check out these forums today, and voila! It's showing up in the web feeds now, Preware should have it soon then.

I just uploaded 0.2.8 which fixes progress bar rendering in WebOS 1.4. You can hit the link in the first post to get the update.

Is it somehow possible to get the program in Germany?

Unfortunately, Palm won't let me make the app available in Germany without having a German translation. We can do one of two things though, I can continue posting the pkg files here which you should be able to install. Or, if you would be willing to help translate the app to German, then I could make a German language version available through the normal install channels.

And to respond to some of the feature requests I'm seeing... SSL option is not a possibility at this point. I've tried to do it, and the capability in the app exists but WebOS itself is preventing it from working, so until Palm fixes that... no SSL.

The other thing is support for other sites besides Newzbin and NZBMatrix... the reason those are the only 2 supported sites are because that's what SABnzbd supports. I'm trying to figure out a way to enable adding downloads from other sites, but at this point it looks like it's prevented by a limitation of WebOS.

Hopefully in the future, Palm can work out some of the shortcomings of the SDK and I can add in the features we all want, but for now we're kind of at their mercy.

I'm still giving thought to the problem of being able to easily queue many downloads at once and I'm sure a future update will have that capability. I just want to make sure that the implementation is up to the same level of quality and ease of use as the rest of the app. If you have any other feature requests or suggestions please let me know and I'll do my best to make it happen.

Also, the app is open source and licensed under the GPL. There's a github page at http://github.com/daveisadork/SABnzbPre but the source is totally uncommented at this point. If anyone wants to dig in and submit patches, I will gladly help out however I can. The biggest area where I could use help right now is translation to other languages.

Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions so far!

Excellent app I'm loving using it! Thanks for all your effort.

I just wanted to suggest/ask you add the "On queue finish" options, mainly 'Shutdown PC' as that would be really useful for me :p. Then I'd be able to wake my PC up with WoL over internet, add some downloads and set the PC to shutdown again when it's all done.

Thanks again, keep up the good work :).

I think that could be done fairly easily. What I want to know is how you're getting your computer to Wake on LAN with your phone.

There's a Wake-on-Lan app on Preware which works over WiFi only.

For doing it over Internet I'm just using this website which does it all for me (after some fiddling with my router to allow broadcasts messages to reach my PC). I knocked up a quick app with my IP/mac address saved so I can run that to wake up quickly though it could be just as easily done with a bookmark in the browser I guess.

Ideally I wanted to have the whole thing working in one webOS app and not have to rely on a third party website but that's all over my head I'm afraid :).

Anyway, thanks for your quick reply and I'm glad my suggestion is possible without too much work; I look forward to your updates.

Uh, not that I'm really upset by it... but how in gods name does Sabnzbpre still retain my ip/api key after several 1.3.5.1 / 1.4 doctors and full erases?

Does it store that information in some area that palm-profile backups monitor?

It shouldn't... if you uninstall the app, the cookie with that info should go with it.

Strange, I've noticed the behavior several times. I do a lot of fiddling with my phone, so I generally do a full erase, followed by a webos doctor repair every couple weeks... and the information has survived each time. I'm not sure I understand where the cookies would be stored enough, but I've probably never "uninstalled" nzbpre before the erase/doctor. I'll try that for next but... but again, sa I said, I'm happy that massive api key is still there :D

I'm not sure what the rules for cookie storage are either... but I know that some time ago I got sick of entering that API key and just turned it off. The app doesn't do anything special to keep the info for you. I guess you're just lucky.

The Pre won't delete any application information upon using webOS doctor.  All application info is still there after you doctor it along with everything else.
