Try launching it on a different port
Start>Run
Code: Select all
c:\program files\sabnzbd\sabnzbd.exe -s 0.0.0.0:8081

Yes, only once at a time.switch wrote: Are you sure sabnzbd.exe isn't already running when you are launching it? I can only see sabnzbd shutting down right at the end, after being launched three times.
Every time Firefox opens a window with the 'not compatible' error message.Which error message pops up? The "SABnzbd is not compatible with some software firewalls." one or the "SABnzbd needs a free tcp/ip port for its internal web server." one?
Don't use and never have used any firewall on this laptop.shypike wrote: There's definitely something going on with the firewall.
Firefox opens window http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd but gives a network time-out over and over again. You could try to add the parameter --force to SABnzbd.exe, which will make it continue operation.
My router configuration suggest otherwise: SPI firewall: enabled disabled, but I'm sure you know best.shypike wrote: There's not reason to "Use my router firewall, but disabled it while using SABnzbd".
In fact this is not even possible, at least not without removing it altogether.
Thanks anyway for your effortsbut we cannot solve everyone's networking problems.
It may or may not be a SABnzbd-related problem, but it impossible to diagnose it from our side.
In two weeks I'm getting a seven weeks holiday, so then I'll try with another computer and report back to you.Do you have the possibility to try SABnzbd on another computer?
You did try other ports than 8080? SABnzbd can use just about any other port.
You did try host-address "localhost" or your fixed IP-address?
I'm not made of porcelain, so no problem at all; I understand what you are writing: The program should start up properly without being connected to the internet.shypike wrote: You should be able to get SABnzbd running with the network cable disconnected.
There have been exactly 0 changes in the code related to this area.when I was still running 0.4.3.
