As for WEB-DL it's been requested before and there's a ticket on google code for it, but it's not something that's at the top of my list.

Great App. I would like to bump this web-dl stuff up your list, if you don't mind.  ;D

Is it possible for me to manually download a s01 pack for instance and use the post processing script for sabnzbd to have sick beard sort it for me?

[edit] It's working great! i just selected the sabtosickbeard.exe and its adding all the stuff manually. great [/edit]

Currently the easiest way to do this is to shut down sab, open sick beard, change the port in the config page, restart sick beard on the new port, and restart sab.

Hi All,

Forgive me if this has been asked before but I can't find it in this massive thread. I have used Sabnzb for a good while now and I have it setup ok. I have it setup to watch my dropbox folder and I drop nzbs into that folder from work. Sabnzb on my pc at home then does it's thing and they are dl'd ready for me when I get home. This system worked fine but I would have to remember to dl the shows and remember when they are on etc (mostly US shows but I am based in the UK).

I have now discovered sickbeard and it's brilliant. I have it setup and with my shows and it seems to be working. When I force a backlog it sent the nzb to sab and downloaded the relevant shows and put some of them in the correct folder but it also deleted some or did nothing.

So I think my folder setup in Sab and Sickbeard is wrong. Can someone tell me what the ideal folder setup in windows would look like?

General question about SB and XBMC... what do the .nfo files do? Obviously the .tbns are the thumbnails that XBMC uses, but are the nfo's then the data that XBMC is using in the library?

got a quick question.
is there any way to tell SickBeard to use tvrage over thetvdb site?

reason i ask is some of the shows on thetvdb are not what tvrage has. the show i am looking for thetvdb shows its done airing. and tvrage shows its still on.

thanks for all the hard work.

It would be great if the manual post processing result page would appear under the post processing edit box so i don't have to make an extra click if i'm adding an entire season. Very minor fix that would greatly increase usability
EDIT: actually it would also be great if there was multi-episode post processing. just add multiple directories to post process then wait.
EDIT2: never mind the "only one episode" text is in error, it takes whole seasons in one go if they're correctly named :)

the nfo files contain the little episode descriptions and such you see in the menus.

where do "specials" need to be located for SB to detect them? I haven't seemed to have any luck with them...

Soo.. I've been trying to add a show that was on the air in the Netherlands a long time ago, but it's not going so well. There's a problem with the episodes, because according to TVDB they have no air dates (they've been aired, TVDB just doesn't have the dates). This results in a log that looks something like this:

Code: Select all

Apr-20 23:06:09 INFO     QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: Loading all episodes from theTVDB...
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: An object for episode 1x1 didn't exist in the cache, trying to create it
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: Loading episode details from DB for episode 1x1
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: sickbeard.db: SELECT * FROM tv_episodes WHERE showid = 80686 AND season = 1 AND episode = 1
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: Episode 1x1 not found in the database
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: Loading episode details from theTVDB for episode 1x1
Apr-20 23:06:09 INFO     QUEUE-ADD :: This episode (Alfred J. Kwak - 1x1) has no air date on TVDB
Apr-20 23:06:09 INFO     QUEUE-ADD :: Deleting Alfred J. Kwak 1x1
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: Deleting myself from the database
Apr-20 23:06:09 DEBUG    QUEUE-ADD :: sickbeard.db: DELETE FROM tv_episodes WHERE showid=80686 AND season=1 AND episode=1
Apr-20 23:06:09 INFO     QUEUE-ADD :: 80686: TVDB object for 1x1 is incomplete, skipping this episode
Times 52...

And the end result is that the show has "?" number of episodes, causing the next problem: When I try to add the shows from my harddisk by manually post-processing the files, they aren't recognized because according to Sick Beard's database, the show has no episodes. This in turn means Sick Beard doesn't organize the files for me, which I'd like it to.

I was wondering if it's really necessary for the episodes to have air dates on TVDB, because obviously this does not imply they are corrupt entries for some reason.

My first post! Woo!

I just installed Sick Beard, and cannot wait to get it set up and rolling...However, it just threw this error at me when I was attempting to search an nzb.

ideas?

edit: i think that it might have something to do with the fact that i have sabnzbd sitting behind a lighttpd server... so when i enter the details of the sabnzbd server, its not a local address. does this cause problems?

edit2: i solved the problem myself haha. the problem was that i was running behind lighttpd, but having all my traffic directed from localhost verus a true local ip adress. problem solved!

Lastly I sort of feel like Morgan Freeman in the Dark Knight, the power that this program yields is simply too much for one man to have. That being said, I am in love. Thank you.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to config Sick Beard to file sizes per show? Let's say I want to only grab a file that is between 200-400Mb? That way it doesn't grab a 1.5gb file.

Thanks,
Mike
