Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
midgetspy,
For some reason, the Sick beard web interface page will not open all of a sudden. There are no error messages in the log. SickBeard-console.exe continues to run fine in the background.
It ends up http://www.localhost.com:8090/home/, which it obviously doesn't connect too. I've tried starting from scratch, and using different ports with no effect. Any ideas?
Windows XP, using 447.
Here's the log file.

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
I'm not sure I understand the problem - what if you go to http://localhost:8090/ yourself? Why is the www.localhost.com there?
Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
I give this program a huge A++++. it is awesome
I do have one request though.
You are definitely on the right track with renaming episodes.
But there is a HUGELY necessary feature that could be done as well.
Rename the NZB!
There is quite a bit of variance on how episodes are named which causes me some problems that did not exist when I solely relied on newzbin.
For example:
(I'm not sure if we are supposed to use show names, so I will leave it out here)
There is an animated series airing on sunday nights on a network that rhymes with BOX and is about an american CIA agent. For purposes of this i will call the series United States Father!
Half the time nzbs are named United States Father and half the time United States Father! (the proper name, with the exclamation point). This creates 2 series folders when sab tv sorting is used.
Couldn't sickbeard change the name of the NZB to be more like newzbin's naming style? It knows the proper series, season number, episode number, and episode name. Changing the name of the NZB will work great with sab TV sorting functionality.
One more example is a thursday night show about people who work for a paper company in Pennsylvania. The show originated in europe so some episodes are tagged as Series.Name.US and some as Series.Name. Since I have entered a series name into sick beard, couldn't it rename all nzb's to that series name in order for consistent treatment from tv sorting?
Sorry if this has already been suggested. I just installed sickbeard yesterday and this was the only thing I noticed. I got excited when I saw the episode renaming feature and thought it applied to making my nzbs.org nzb's look more newzbin-ish ;D

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Yup, I'm getting the same thing. Doesn't seem to cause problems, although I do wonder if ionice is working... watching something while processing a file now seems choppy, and I don't think it was this way before (although could be mistaken).kayex wrote:s anyone else getting the above error in SAB during the post-processing? It was working fine until I did the latest git-pull on the main trunk.Output from user script "sabToSickBeard.py" (Exit code = 1):
ionice: execvp failed: No such file or directory
Doing a manul post-process works fine. Any ideas?
Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem, just disable SAB sorting and use Sick Beard post processing and there'll be no problems with different names.substyle wrote: I give this program a huge A++++. it is awesome

I have no idea. http://localhost:8090/ doesn't work either. What's odd is that even when you try to load this page, at the bottom of Firefox, it shows "waiting for www.localhost.com". Same problem occurs in other browsers. No issues loading Sabnzdb. I'm baffled.
Edit: http://127.0.0.1:8090/home/ works.

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
I updated SickBeard and now I get a new error when SAB runs the sabToSickBeard post processing script:
Any ideas?
Code: Select all
Exit(1) ConfigParser.NoSectionError: No section: ’SickBeard’ (More)
Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Looks like you either have an empty or missing autoProcessTV.cfg.Zypher82 wrote: I updated SickBeard and now I get a new error when SAB runs the sabToSickBeard post processing script:

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
I see. So sickbeard will constantly look to rename episodes? unfortunately my naming style is not supported by sickbeard so i guess I'm SOL on that feature. I name my eps Series/Season 5/01 - Name.avi. I do this because I post process my episodes to mp4 and add them to my tversity folder to watch on my iphone. This way more of the episode name is visible.midgetspy wrote:Unless I'm misunderstanding the problem, just disable SAB sorting and use Sick Beard post processing and there'll be no problems with different names.substyle wrote: I give this program a huge A++++. it is awesome

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Yeah naming like that is just plain old not supported - SB can't read or write episodes in that format. For the extra two chars I'd say to just use 1x01 - Name.avi as a format and all your problems will be solved. Maybe use Name Twister or something similar to add season numbers to all your existing files.substyle wrote:I see. Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Excellent piece of software. Love it!
I cant seem to get the postprocess script working with sabnzbd. I have to do it manually every time. Any tips on how i can get it working?
I've also noticed two bugs with the autoprocess script.
1) When you move tvshows from the complete dir to their tidy place on a NAS the script throws you the following exception error despite actually moving the file successfully.
Had a look at the file processTV.py, seems to be this bit:
Needs a better error handling perhaps? or compatibility issues? (osx to NAS [via smb link])
2. second tiny problem is when there is a sample avi file in the tv folder. You come across errors like:
I wish the proesstv script would get rid of the sample before attempting to move the actual file. And could this be why it doesnt delete the episode folder in the end?
Anyway, thanks for the great program!

Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
Just make sab ignore samples so they don't get processed.
As for the other error, can you post a whole log on google code or PM me please? (can't post show names on these forums)

Ah, I did not know about that sample feature. thanks! posted the error on google.
Re: Sick Beard (ALPHA) - Download/sort/rename episodes, XBMC/growl integration, more
I would agree that the extra two chars are no problem. The problem is that sickbeard wants "Series Name - 1x01 - Name.avi". Right? At least thats what the config page is saying.midgetspy wrote:Yeah naming like that is just plain old not supported - SB can't read or write episodes in that format. So for long show names on a small screen you will never know what episode you are looking at. I did it once before and everything showed up as "It's Always Sunny in Phil...." or something
Is there any way I could not have the series name appearing in the file name?

under episode naming on the far right, uncheck "Use show name"
Then the show name will not pre-pend the episode name
