Hi,
I followed the instructions a while back to install 0.5.3RC1 and it worked fine. I just shut down Sabnzbd and followed the instructions to upgrade (reinstall?) and it didn't seem to do anything (0 packages upgraded message). Am I doing anything wrong? Is there an easy way to kill off what I have and start again?
I am installing onto Ubuntu and an trying to use apt-get to install.
Thanks
Jim

Re: Stuck on 0.5.3RC1
If you've installed from Ubuntu's repositories you should be able to do a to remove the previous install. If things are really messy you can replace remove with purge to also get rid of your configuration files. I recommend using JFCP's PPA for updates (much easier than manual installations). There's a guide on my site (see my sig below) for a complete SABnzbd+ Ubuntu installation if you need further instructions.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get remove sabnzbdplus
