Firewall Issues

Post by KaMoS »

Hi

I've read the FAQ's and searched the forums regarding this but was unable to find anything that helped.

I am unable to remotely (from outside my home network) access sabnzbd+. I suspect it's my ADSL Router's Firewal. I tried portforwarding the port 8080 to my local pc ip to no avail. I then found out that this port is reserved within the router for remote management. So I changed the port from 8080 to 8081 and updated all the relevant settings but still I was unable to access sabnzbd+ externally. Now i have successfully accessed sabnzbd+ externally with the modem firewall off, so i know it is possible.

The router I use is the netgear DG834GT. Currently the portforward settings are as follows:

TCP port 8081 forwarded to local ip 192.168.0.69
UDP port 8081 forwarded to local ip 192.168.0.69

Has anyone else experienced this problem and how did you resolve it?

Your help on this issue will be highly appreciated.

Did you tell the Windows firewall to let SABnzbd listen to external addresses in the "Internet range"?

Yes. Like I said, I am able to access it remotely with my router firewall off.
