So if I'm having trouble downloading something from my primary server and would like to use a backup server to try and fix the problem what's the best way to do that? I added a server and checked "backup" is that all I have to do to improve my chances of these downloads working? Does also checking "Fail on yEnc CRC Errors" improve my chances even more?
The whole backup server thing is just confusing to me... thanks for any help guys.

Re: Backup servers?
The basic idea is that the primary server is cheaper, but less reliable.
The backup server is more expensive and more reliable.
You want to avoid using the expensive server as much as possibe.
Therefor you flag the most expensive server as "backup".
If the primary server is very unreliable you should make it "optional" too,
so that SABnzbd will temporarily lock it out when it becomes too unreliable.
If you have two servers that have no different cost, you can set them
both as primary servers. This way they will both be used and still cover
for each others missing articles.
With "more expensive" I mean that you pay per downloaded MByte.
Rate-limited servers without pay-per-volume should always be primary servers.
