Bu I get that in th log file, Ive added Futurama to alias list, I thought that would start the auto download of the file please can ou tell me what I should beediting?

Just to confirm with the above issue you had to add in your TV Root Folder?

As for the adding of the scheduled task, what issue are you seeing? Have you tried via the GUI? If so have you tried manually?


Some notes on future versions:
I'm planning to ditch the Console application and go to a service, or a Windows application that has the logic to download in the background, a combination of the GUI with the console application (With a better interface) and eventually work toward a web interface.

I'm currently testing the History DB, along with "upgrading" of show quality with my live setup, so far no major issues, but I haven't fully tested the "upgrading" feature yet.

When I click on make task in the GUI it says

ERROR: Invalid Argument/Option - '/f'.
Type "SCHTASKS /CREATE /?" for usage.

i dont know what command to do to make the task manually

Ahh, it must be a different command for WinXP from Vista/7 (not all that surprising though)... +1 for another method of running it...

The easiest way is for you to do it manually, following these steps:
Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Scheduled Tasks

Double-Click "Add a Scheduled Task"
Next
Browse -> Locate SABSync.exe -> Ok -> Next
Select "Perform this Task Daily" then Next, select the start time as 12:00am (Midnight), leave the others as is, and click next
Enter your password 2x and click next
Check "Open Advanced properties for this task when I click Finish" click Finish

Go to the Schedule tab
Click Advanced
Check "Repeat Task"
Every: 15 Minutes
Until: Time: 11:59 PM
Click OK
Click OK

All should be setup, give it a trial run by right-clicking the Task and selecting "Run".

I just wanted to post an update for everyone. I've been working a bunch on this new version and here are some things to look forward to:

- Updated GUI + App All-In-One, no more Console application and scheduled tasks, minimize to tray is working, I just need to look at starting it with Windows.
- History Database showing what you have downloaded - which will be viewable in the GUI - Will also allow SABSync to avoid costly calls to SABnzbd for queue and history information
- Configure show quality right from the app - No more playing around with config files for that
- Caching Episode information locally instead of hitting TheTVDB over and over, it will be stored in the DB, All the shows you are watching + all the episodes for it
- Best Quality Downloading, if you want both xvid and 720p releases it will get the first one posted and if a better quality one comes later it will grab that and replace the lower quality one (assuming its not in-use)

What I also want to add:
- Upcoming shows
- Ability to add shows from multiple sources, new folder created, from within SABSync, possibly from TheTVDB Favorite shows, but right now I forsee issues where this don't match properly and it downloads something you no longer want (I want to avoid having to make changes in multiple locations).
- WebUI very future plan right now
- View the most recent log right in the app (Going to move to nLog from the self-rolled logging I'm using now)
- SABSync Queue, things that failed to add to SABnzbd for some reason will be queued and tried again later

Probably some other stuff I can't think of right now, but I'll add more as I get closer to a release, since everything is starting to come together, but isn't there yet.

Hey Guys,

Never version posted! Tons of new features, so I'll probably miss a bunch of them.
- All-In-One GUI/Sync (minimizes to tray)
- Per-User based settings (SABSync.exe.config is only used to hold some data)
- Most information is stored in the Database (no more Rss/Alias/Quality.config files)
- Select your settings and then scan for shows (which will grab series and episode information from TheTvDb)
- Add RSS feeds via UI
- Best Quality downloading (will shows as a 0 (zero) in the Quality column, this will attempt to download the best possible version of that show, xvid or x264 and delete the lower-quality one)

A couple things to note:
- You will need to recreate your Ignored Seasons, Aliases and Quality settings (sorry, it was the easiest way), but I have included a number of aliases hardcoded to fill in some Automatically 9mostly based on what I watch)
- Due to the way the timer operates it will reset when you change it via options and not tick again for the duration set
- RDPing to my HomeServer with SABSync running often has it minimized to tray (so look for it there)
- There may be bugs, please let me know
EDIT: Issue with PROPER checking, which I caught this morning, I have a rough idea what it is, so I'll look into it, otherwise I'm not aware of any issues. - just need to upload the latest version, It has been fixed.
EDIT2: History DB has Time stored as 12-hour time without AM/PM flags, so it displays as downloading in the AM instead of the PM (for shows that actually downloaded in the PM) - will be fixed soon


I suggest that you create a new folder for this version of SABSync due to the major changes.

Hopefully this fills the gap, but there is more work to be done, so stay tuned. If you have any questions, comments or issues, please let me know.

@Larz - Log Viewer was something I thought of, but wasn't sure how to implement it, I have done so in 0.9.9.1 (Available now)
@Ionitor - Yup, built for 32/64-bit, but I only had SQLite libraries for 32-bit, so I have changed the output to 32-bit, sorry for the mix up, also in 0.9.9.1

Adding shows to history with Add time always in the AM
Proper check failing to properly check the History table for matches
Built for x86 (32-bit) only due to lack of x64 libraries

Added:
Log viewer (under Tools) - Will provide a list of Logs currently in the log dir, double clicking one will open that file in your default editor for ".txt" files.
