RSS reader for iphone for use with sabnzbd

Post by substyle »

Since I know there are a lot of iphone users here who have integrated sabnzbd with their iphones, I was hoping I would get some good responses on RSS feeds for NZB's.

I have 2 RSS feeds (newzbin and nzbs.org) which I want to access thru my iphone in order to send the nzb's to sab. I use the "add to bookmarks" and "add to mynzbs" links and they work great. Main problem is that most of the good/[popular] rss apps rely on google reader. For example I am currently trying an app that came highly recommended called Reeder.

For some reason, I can never get them to find new unread items unless I first refresh the feeds in google reader. This means I've got to go on my PC, access thru a browser, and then suddenly reeder displays the feeds. Pointless.

Is anyone else checking RSS feeds and adding nzb's via iphone? What apps are you using?

Did you ever get an answer for this?  I'd like to view the RSS feeds I've added to sabnzbd on my iphone, some things i manually download, and doing this via the phone would be nice.

I guess the RSS page needs to be made into a mobile page if possible.

Substyle,

I am by no means a "power user" and might not fully understand your question... But personally, I add files from nzbs.org through my iPhone simply via safari. I have the site bookmarked on the phone and I have SABnzbd configured to read from my nzbd.org "cart" every 15 minutes....

So on the phone I got to nzbs.org, click on a few checkboxes, "save to cart" and no later than 15 minutes they are downloading on my computer at home.

Works great fro adding TV shows or movies that your friends or co-workers recommend when you are out and about.

myNZB on the iPhone is probably the greatest app ever invented.

No I didn't invent it, but I use it every day.  Check it out.

Has native support for newzbin, mynzbs.org, and nzbmatrix
