Hope someone can help me with a daft problem, seems SABnzbd is downloading all my files twice and then renaming as per usual default (append .1 to end).
Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Check your connection in Status and Interface settings window.
Use Test Server in Config > Servers.
We will probably ask you to do a test using only basic settings. - Do you experience problems during repair or unpacking?
Enable +Debug logging in the Status and Interface settings window and share the relevant parts of the log here using [ code ] sections.

the nzb you are using probably has them inside it twice - sometimes happens when indexing sites index them twice for some reason

Or are you downloading to the watched folder *and* associated the .NZB extension to SAB?

Thanks for the replies, unfortunately, its neither of these, I'm not using Firefox at all, and the downloads now matter how I go about asking SABnzbd to downloading them always come twice.
How I'm currently trying is via Episode Butler, this goes and downloads the files twice into SABnzbd's destination directory.
Also, if I try manually importing an NZB, once again, every file gets downloaded twice, but if I try the same nzb in newsbin (the Windows client) it downloads the files only once! argh!
Maybe I should just rip everything out again and just reinstall!

There must be something that offers the NZBs twice.
If you cannot find the cause, there is a quick work-around.
Set a NZB backup folder in Config->Folders and enable "Prevent duplicate downloads" in Config->Switches.
This will make sure no identically names NZBs will enter the queue.

If Episode butler downloads it twice .. then you need to talk to the author of the app

I uninstalled SABnzbd, cleared my /opt/SABnzbd directory (leaving the configuration in my home directory), and reinstalled. All is now working correctly, no more duplicate files. Really don't know what caused it, but all good now!!!!
