Easy way: Windows Task Scheduler (bring up the run box by pressing WindowsKey and R at the same time, then type taskschd.msc and press enter). Click create a task and put in the exe location and when you want it to run (on boot, so you don't even have to log in for your automated downloading apps to get started).LarzJG wrote: WHS, HP Mediasmart system. I have it in a subfolder to sabnzbd on C, I'll move it to D.
I'm usually accessing it using the WHS console, using the addin that lets you minimize the WHS software. It's in the Startup-folder as a link - I can't figure out a better way to auto-launch it.
Make a scheduled task for sabnzbd and any associated programs (sabsync, couchpotato, additional guis, utorrent, etc) that you want to always have running. After doing this remove the now redundant links in the startup folder.
Running as admin should have the advantage of not getting inaccessible directories, and running all the time prevents you from "underutilizing" your bandwidth for days because you forgot to log onto the WHS after a reboot. HTH
There is also a way to run any app as a service on WHS and it can be found using google, but I don't see any advantage to that for these kind of programs and it's a bit more complicated to set up.
