SABcontrol for Android
Re: SABcontrol for Android
I finally fixed the bug leading to BinsearchDroid downloads not being started (SABcontrol(Plus) loads but no download shows up). This was an issue with the setting "Auto-Refresh" and/or also SSL (SSL active, "Auto accept certificate" not active). Go and update to 1.5.1
Re: SABcontrol for Android
Wouldn't it be really really awesome with a widget?
Just a basic one with Server status (on, running, paused), download speed, and time left for current nzb download.
Doesn't need a lot of graphics or anything

Re: SABcontrol for Android
That's a good idea, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks for the suggestion
Re: SABcontrol for Android
When looking at "History" it shows posts as failed, while they are actually still being processed.
I was just looking at a post that said "unpacking 36/57" on the website, but sabcontrol (in history) showed "Failed".
When the processing is done it changes from Failed to Completed and turns green.

I'll take a look into that, thanks for the feedback

Re: SABcontrol for Android
Edit: Solved
Just want to let everyone know to double check their ports getting forwarded and make sure they are to the correct internal IP address.
Hello, first post.
I understand port forwarding. I also understand internal & external IP's.
That being said, I can only get SABControl (or SABMobile for that matter) to work correctly inside my home LAN.
Getting it to connect over 3G using the external IP, however, is not possible. Let me just say that it IS possible using a similar torrent app called Transdroid.
If you, ludo, or anyone could explain to me why this is so, I would appreciate it. Perhaps there just isn't code included to allow an external IP to connect?
I just want nothing more than to be able to download files onto my home PC while away from home.

Hi ruggerxpunk,
I'll send you a PM, but anyone else having already set up SABcontrol/SABnzbd with port forwarding is welcome to help

Re: SABcontrol for Android
hi ludo, there are two things i would love to see in your android app:-
1. ability to define multiple host ip's - reasoning for this is that i would like to be able to use the app at home as well as away, at the moment if i try to use the public ip when at home my router gets into a knot as it tries to go out and then back in again and fails.
2. better integration of searching - i see you have the binsearch app which works well but it is another app, it would be really nice to be able to search within the app, would also be nice to add in additional search sites, such as nzbs.org and nzbmatrix.
i really like what youve done so far, keep it up!. ;D
cheers,
binhex.

Re: SABcontrol for Android
Hey binhex,
just a quick feedback:
1. already on my features list, probably the next feature I'll implement
2. also on my list, will however take some more time
I'm glad you like the app

I'd like to see the ability to set/change the Category field.

Re: SABcontrol for Android
Hi ludo,
I just got a droid pro and I wanted to use this great app, but no matter what I try I keep getting a 'Server not running or unreachable'
These are my settings:
host - feerlessleadr.dontexist.com
sab port - 3004
enable https - yes
https port - 9090
always accept certificates - yes
api key - (entered)
sab username - (entered)
sab password - (entered)
I have copied the host, and api key directly from the web interface on my phone (which I can access fine), so I am stumped.

Re: SABcontrol for Android
You can. Keep a download pressed for a few seconds and a context menu will pop up. In this menu you can change the category, you can also pause, rename, move or delete this particular download.SlickRickDFW wrote: I'd like to see the ability to set/change the Category field.
Please send me an email so that we can discuss the problem more easily. You can already provide me some log output ("adb locat" or using the app aLogCat).feerlessleadr wrote: I just got a droid pro and I wanted to use this great app, but no matter what I try I keep getting a 'Server not running or unreachable'
