looks and works great, even on my first generation iphone.

Only other things  i would like are to be able to add, view and download nzbmatrix bookmarks. And to be able to view nfos. Then i wouldnt need to use my laptop at all for usenet!

edit: also to have the option to display more nzbmatrix results as it doesnt show a lot at the moment

The iTunes site only says:

Code: Select all

Description
****************************************************
* ONLY $0.99 DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON *
****************************************************
A bit more explanation would be nice.

... just press "More..." in the bottom right corner of the description and you'll get more explanation :)

I don't buy a lot of apps, but I bought this one, nice work :).  What's the refresh rate for ui updates?  It seems to be a little bit slow.  Plus, when the download had finished in sabnzbd, it was still stuck on 84% in Tanis and stayed that way until I click on the download to see the details.  Unfortunately the app then crashed.

I'm running it on a 3GS.

Tanis lets you take full control of a SABnzbd server from an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.

Native application
All your downloads and history in a single view, pull to refresh, auto-refresh, the lot..

Search and download
Search, find and add news items straight to your download queue using NZBIndex, NZBMatrix *, Binsearch or nzb.cc.

In control
Pause, prioritize or edit downloads. Just some of the options.

Easy setup
Use a step-by-step wizard to add new servers. It will even grab the API key for you!

Accessibility
We've put extra effort into providing VoiceOver support..

Retina optimized
All graphics have been optimized for the Retina display.

Blazing fast
Tanis uses a compact data format that will even perform with only 2G network access.

Multi server
Manage multiple servers, local or remote.

Note: Tanis requires SABnzbd v0.5.0 or higher!

* NZBMatrix requires you to have a VIP account.

This is actually one of the items on our 'new features' list. Can't give you any date - but you can expect it in a future update.

The auto-refresh rate is around 15 seconds at the moment. It's also possible to 'pull' the list to refresh the queue manually.

That sucks. We would love to find out why Tanis crashed in your situation. However, we can only do this if you send the crash log.

Whenever you synchronize your iPhone or iPod Touch, all the crash logs are transferred to your computer.

Here are their locations:
Mac OS X : ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/
Windows Vista/ Windows 7: C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter/MobileDevice/

The log file names start with application name and have the extension “crash”.

They are just plain text files and can be sent by e-mail in original or zipped form, or even copy-pasted into your e-mail program.

If you find the time, could you mail me any crash logs named 'Tanis' or 'Carbin' to "support at applesapp.com" ?

We would really appreciate it!

Ooh, and I forgot to mention in my previous posts - if you like or dislike Tanis - please rate the App within iTunes or the App Store on iOS.

Thanks!  8)

Any updates coming for this? :)

Some nice to haves would be:

Ability to search in specific groups in NZBMatrix (eg, search only in Movies, or TV).
View more than one page of results (seems it only shows one page, even if there's more)
Ability to drill down into downloading file, to see all invidual files inside.

Could you add an URL scheme so I can have Prowl open Tanis automatically?

Yes - iPad support will be added.

It won't be added in the next version though. We still want to bring out one more update for 3.1 users (2g / 3g).
