Re: accessing from remote computer
start by making SABnzbd accessible from your LAN: http://wiki.sabnzbd.org/configure-general-v2 tells you to fill out 0.0.0.0 at General -> Host. Then restart SABnzbd. Then access it from another PC on your LAN via it's IP-address like http://192.168.0.31:8080/ (fill out the IP address of the machine running SABnzbd).
If that works, you can go further and make your SABnzbd accessible from Internet ...

Re: accessing from remote computer
Is there a tutorial for how to make SABnzbd accessible from the internet?
I have set up port forwarding on my router and even a DNS redirect (for dynamic IP) yet each time I try to connect it says "This web page is not available".
Maybe blocked ports from my ISP?

Re: accessing from remote computer
Many will block "well-known" ports.guy_smiley wrote: Maybe blocked ports from my ISP?
Try an unusual one.

First things first: is your SABnzbd accessible from other computers on your LAN? If so, which (local) fixed IP address?guy_smiley wrote: Is there a tutorial for how to make SABnzbd accessible from the internet?

Re: accessing from remote computer
Yes it is on my home server and I can access it from other computers. The fixed IP is 10.1.1.8. I have tried forwarding port xyz which is open to my SABnzbd computer on port 8080 but it doesn't work still.sander wrote: First things first: is your SABnzbd accessible from other computers on your LAN? OK. As Shypike advices, have you tried port 7777 on the outside, and then portforward it to port 8080 on your SAB computer? And: First try to access SAB via the public IP address (and if that works, try DNS-stuff later).guy_smiley wrote:Yes it is on my home server and I can access it from other computers. Tip: use http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ to check your open port.

Re: accessing from remote computer
Found a port and all sorted. It seems it didn't save the 0.0.0.0 in the listening part. Now I can set it up for my mobile thanks to some awesome Android apps!
